Does GIF animator 5 interface with PSP the same way that Animation Shop does? I'm particularly interested in being able to open PSP file and have the layers become frames.

Ulead GIF Animator 5 does not handle the PSP file format the same way as Animation Shop. GA 5 treats layers as "Objects" - it will open the PSP file, but will have only 1 frame, but each layer becomes an Object in GA 5's Object Manager.
