When I click "Duration", it doesn't show whole vid

Post by A01 »

Purchased recently, but I'm having a problem. Suppose I go to "Open Video", ok? Now, when I have that small window and I'm about ot choose from a group of videos, I click one of them once, then click the "Duration" button in the small window. That's so I could specify a certain length instead of inserting the whole video as frames. Problem is, it works with some videos, but not all. When it works, I can choose the duration. But the problem is when I click it and it doesn't show the whole video, just the first 4 seconds or so (all black).

Is there a solution? Thanks.

I can't say that I've heard of this problem before, and I can't seem to replicate it.

I do know some .mpg files won't open (duration and info buttons are greyed out) but others will. I'm not familiar enough with video to know why. Opening those troublesome .mpg with Windows Movie Maker and saving them as DV-AVI files will then let GA 5 open those ones. I don't know if trying that will help your situation or not...

Why you are seeing only the first 4 seconds is a mystery to me. Hopefully someone else perusing these boards will have an answer for you.
