Buying Ulead Gif Animator 5
Hello, I have recently downloaded the free trial of this program and have decided to buy it, but I'm not able to. Every online store says it isn't being sold anymore and when I try to buy it from the actual trial, after filling in my billing and credit card info, it comes to a page error. I really liked the software, not to hard to use, and great options with it and very affordable, so, is there anyway that I can actually continue to use this software??

Unfortunately, Corel, in their infinite wisdom (heavy sarcasm here), has discontinued selling it. Which makes you wonder why it's available as a free trial...
Your best bet is to try buying a used copy from somewhere like Ebay - if you can't find just GA 5, then PhotoImpact up to version 12 has GIF Animator 5.05 included. (The only difference between 5 and 5.05 seems to be the inclusion of changing the Merge method of objects - a nice feature.)
I shouldn't have to mention to steer clear of illegal download sites. Besides being illegal, you may not be getting what you planned on... But I'll mention it just in case.
There are a lot of Ulead GIF Animator 5 fans that love the product, myself included. We can only hope someone at Corel (which purchased Intervideo, who had purchased Ulead) grabs a brain and revives it and continues it's development.

Thanks for the reply man. Ya after I read that they weren't even selling it anymore, I couldn't help but think what the heck were they thinking?? and also, why still have a free trial for it if your not selling it anymore?? For $50, this program is a steal imo. Ya sure Flash may be better, but I ain't paying $700 for it when I can accomplish pretty much everything I want animation wise with this great program.
