Competition Entry 02: Katwijk

Post by Michiel1988 »

Hereby my competition entry.

I saw a lot of people had included information texts and such in their movie so I tried a different approach to have some diversity. Well I hope you like it.

It's not on a proffesional level, but I'm still pleased with the result. Or else I wouldn't have posted it :P

Enjoy :)

Great choices of music, original video presentation and I like how you presented the many different and varied faces of your locality.

Interesting from start to finish and loved the way you placed the Ulead Banner at the end.

Well done, good luck and thank you for your entry.

Thanks everyone. I tried to let the pictures do the work. Although all of your movies gave me quite some inspiration 8)

For example. I liked the crouded streets from clevo and girly her/his movie with all the people and such and the picture in picture from devil (the four into 1). And others of those kind of things :)

Ofcourse I thought of a few things myself as well and gave my own personal touch to it, but some basic ideas came from you guys.

But I think that's what it's all about. Learn from eachother :).

I am NOT on the voting committee, and yes, it shows, you gave a very good "first" publish on your work. Were I lost interest was the "hand held" wobble. We get a lot of that, believe it or not, on TV. It's supposed to be something "new", but.., I find it annoying, and it isn't new, (for TV). I do admit, that was very exceptional footage.. I personally didn't join the competition due to were I live. It's rather embarrassing.

Good luck..

There is still time to change your mind - closing date is 31 December 2007
and I am interested in entries from anywhere whether they be from the scenic views of Yosemite or a Desert Region in the Sahara.

Show us what your area looks like - we are interested.
If you happen to live on the Moon - we want to see a video from you also.

Come on guys and gals, its not how scenic your back yard is, it is how you are using the software that counts.

Naw seriously, the footage I have is seriouslouly embarising to New Orleans. Brad Pitt did a "comptemorary art thing" and it's an insult, in my opinion, to the city. Very taste less... My footage is in 3gp, never bought the addon on for ulead products. Anyone wants it.. let me know.

We had a lil over 1300 people die, an American city was wiped out, and we still ain't the same. We have a about 12,000 people homeless, from that storm, still today. The people and city government fighting over demolishing housing that was destroyed by the storm, (yea Katrina), they want to go back.

Pretty much why I didn't submit a video for the competition.

I made some shots on my bike, need some more experience with taping. On the other hand I now respect others even more who have these nice shots, because I never imagined it was this difficult.

I appreciate the feedback :) definitely a pointer to focos myself on next time

Good job, nice fluid movement throughout the production. I thought the dual perspective was also a nice touch..
