Plugin site dead?

Post by raintonr »

Hi,

Given Noise Ninja has been pulled from ASP I'm trying to find a replacement. I'd also like to install the zPerspector plugin I used to use with Bibble.

However, this site seems dead... :(

http://aftershotpro.com/plugins/index.html

... I get a redirect loop when hitting this URL. Anyone know where plugins can be downloaded aside from here? What's a good alternative to Noise Ninja?

Thanks :)

Looks like various URLs are impacted. the update check also runs into a problem.

Depending on image content, WaveLet Denoise can be a useful alternative to NN, but it does not work too well on fine details.

cheers

Hi tintin, I was wondering if you could help me download your excellent zFrame-plugin? I'm a new user and therefore not allowed to send you messages via PM... :(
The plugin site seems to be (still) down.

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Thanks, raintonr. Tried googling at first but always ended up at Corel's site... :(
Is v3.1.4,as bundled in the link you gave me, the latest of zFrame?

That page has 1 comment in Russian. I cut and paste it into translate.google.com and it turned into "DO NOT ROCK! THERE VIRUS"

Doesn't sound too reassuring... I guess I'll have to wait for Corel to bring up their official site then.

If someone has the latest version of zFrame, please pm me.

Thanks in advance,
Johan

Downloaded the rar file, opened it with, and in contains afzplug files checked a few for file size compared to originals and the filesizes matched. (for what that is worth)

Thanks Lundbech! There seems to be an older version of zFrame shipped in the rar, I think the most recent is 3.2.0?

Sorry. zFrame is one of the few I rarely use. Latest I have is 3.1.3.

So someone in management at Corel decided to get rid of all URLs and domain names other than corel.com and redirect everything there. OK.

But does anyone at Corel realise how stupid they are looking when the redirects go round in circles, user reports as to this problem are being irgnored, and the plugins have all gone offline?

Dare I ask, is there a place where one can tell Corel about their problem(s)?

Hi

In addition to the plug-in site not being available the Knowledge Base is also missing from the forum link and the main Corel site. I can only assume they are updating the web site but clearly the Plug-in site has been down for a while

Corel is on Facebook, probably the best option as other support is not free other that the 90 day period
https://www.facebook.com/Corel

I have passed the information on to Corel

FACEBOOK ?? What's that ?
Is Corel supposed to support their products or spend time playing on internet.
I bought ASP as a tool for photography, not as a game for socializing.
