Add new photo's automatically to catalog

Post by Tuvok »

Hi,

I use the catalog feature in AFP. My photo's are automatically synchronized from my camera to a folder. When new photos are imported in the folder how can I update the folder in de catalog?

This is not supported nowadays (watched folders - it was possible with bibble5!) - but I think it should be possible to implement it because the automatic import works when you use an external editor.
If its only for the initial import when downloading from a camera or image card why do you not use the way from within ASP with the download queue - there downloading & auto-import works

That is a solution to use the import function, but I also use an auto upload to the cloud function. And the cloud folder should be watched. Would be nice when Corel build this feature in ASP

I noticed the following - maybe this can help you too (in some situations):
If A have a folder with pictures and I send one of them to the external editor a file: xxx_edit.xxx is created and automatically added to the catalog.
When I rename this picture to e.g. xxx_edit_test.xxx all new pictures in this folder are scannend and added to the catalog!
This is a trick to rescan a whole folder!
