Adjustment in Lightroom curves for printing shadows - ASP3 ?

Post by kumsa »

The article is dealing with B/W images that have deep shadows that need to be lightened up for printing.

Has anyone worked on lightening the shadows for printing ?

Thanks for you shared experience

That link was an interesting read.
As for trying to lighten the shadows I have done that in some of my black and white prints.
What I ended up with is a photo that to me resembles an image shot on the old Agfa black and white film.
The results were pleasing if you like that type of look.
When doing b&w conversions I usually use Darktable rather than ASP3 as that program has more controls for just black and white adjustments.

Thanks GR, that's helpful. I'm slowly paying more attention to Darktable. I seem to have better fine control over RAW with ASP3, but no editor does it all. I'll be posting in DPreview under KumsaJack on ASP3 work.
