- Improved multi-monitor support (yes, it has it already)
- Give us back the ability to float the toolbars. We had this in Bibble 5.
- Give us back the easy ability to rearrange the tools panel; i.e., ordering/customizing tabs and ordering tools witihn the tabs. We had this in Bibble 4 and have been begging for it since B5 was released.
- Float the left panel and thumbnail strip. I want the image being edited to occupy 100% of one of my monitors!
- Improved lens identification.
- Easier Plugin management.

Some of what I'm asking for we old-timer Bibble users used to have. From our perspective this is not entrely ASP 1.0, but Bibble 5.3 or 6.

thank you too,
Finally I can register - I wanted to "vote" for linux support with my registration.
Nice to meet you all Bibble/ASP fans on this forum.

thanx a lot .... now I do not have to lie anymore

The only "strange item" for Linux is the "System drive" .... it does not really match. But this is just a small detail.
cheers

Re: AfterShot Pro - Wishlist for future versions
why not? For me, "A" stands for "/dev/sdA" - but for some reason when I select "A" it says: "The field “System_Drive” must be completed." so I just selected "X"maggus wrote: The only "strange item" for Linux is the "System drive" .... it does not really match. But this is just a small detail.

but about requests, maybe there should be single post on top of this topic, where all request should be gathered? It grows quickly, most people post more than one thing, some are posted multiple times... If someone gathered them in first post as a list, it would be nicer for devs. At least that's how we organized feature-request stuff in projects I worked with.

Remove the 30MB limitation with tif files. ASP could also be a very valuable tool in an analog-hybrid workflow ...

Someone else mentioned tethering... +1 to that.
Someone else described a brilliant way to work with multiple monitors. +1 to that too.
Some camera-specific white balance presets would be great too. The default presets are useless. Ufraw incorporates camera-specific white balance presets which are very handy for getting a baseline white balance. The camera model is detected from the RAW file and the appropriate presets are made available. If no camera model is detected, then the default presets are displayed instead.

Re: AfterShot Pro - Wishlist for future versions
Generally spoken I like the new GUI, but wish to have some refinements & cleanup eg.
- move layer window from top back to the toolbar below the window (image toolbar)
- move soft proofing, multi image view, image lock & clipping warning from the left right corner into right end of image toolbar (grouping with toggle & fit, after all theses all are image view settings)
- all label colors in parallel access in toolbar and not via combo-box (saves the extra click) and please add an entry for "reset color / no color"
- use the old symbols for the pick & reject flag (at least different ones)
- use another font (the one from Bibble clearly was better readable)
- reduce the space between the preset entries (saves some space)
Wishlist for new features:
- please invest some time in pimping up the catalogs / DAM (easy re-importing, searching, ..)
- dockable history
- presets editor
- plugin manager
- support for larger pics (remove the 10kpixel limit eg. to support panaroma fotos)
- handle RAW & jpeg as one
- improved (in terms of stable) lens identification
And a replacement for this uninspiring AfterShop logo - every home-knitted foto SW is using a camera - so why not include this wonderful bright & colorful aperture seen in the past ;-?

Yes, that would really be helpful.marktuma wrote:- Better searching of the catalogs with something like regular expression capabilities, or at least AND, OR and NOT
And maybe not "only" regular expressions, but also numerical (and string?) comparisions, e.g. "ISO >= 800 AND aperture < 2.8"?
Re: AfterShot Pro - Wishlist for future versions
Gradients as in Lightroom. Or at least Bibble's GradfilterPro plugin.
(And also Bibble's Andrea plugin, Brenda, zPerspector - which I hope will all be available for ASP some time this (northern hemisphere) winter.)
