i was hoping you would have a copy of version 6 , I paid for this program but downloaded it and now that it is not supported k i cant re install it. I have my product key but i need an actual cd rom disc to install it. that is what corel support has told me anyways. I was wondering if you happen to have a copy of this program on a cd and allow me to use it by copying it for me or something.... i am willing to pay for any expense there may be and also for your time.
I love this program and there are no other that i can understand like this one.
my email is hiddenagenda_at_cox.net if you can help.
thanks
Patty

Welcome to the forums..
First I took the liberty to alter your email address, replacing the "@" with the word, "at". It's never a good idea to post your email address on open web forums, unless your really like getting spam mail.
Sadly if you lost the CD, it has become damaged, or you lost the ESD (Electronic Download) files, there's nothing much that can be done, for an end-of-life program. This is a former Ulead program, and I think Corel dumped it some time ago. It's not the only one, they dumped most of them. I know when a purchase is made, for the download versions, they did provide the option to purchase a back-up CD, and/or Download Insurance, which is basically the guarantee that you can download the program for a set period of time, generally about 2 yrs. If you choose not to, well, that's not Ulead's or Corel's problem.
I don't mean to be chastising, but it's our responsibility to maintain things, not any corporation. I still have a copy of the very first Ulead program's I purchased, and that goes back about 7yrs now. I'm not that trusting of computers, as I've had the misfortune to loose over a thousand photos due to system failure. So there's some things that I have several backup copies of, well at least 2 or 3..
Maybe someone will happen along with a copy that could get to you, I don't know if it would work with your serial number though. The activated trial versions are a little different than the full purchased ones. I don't know where you're located, but you might try Ebay, or some online sites like Craig's List to see if you would be able to pick one up there, but that's real risky.

Re: Lost my Copy to PE 6
Ya i have learned the hard way about not having a back up plan. I too have lost many photos due to system failure.
Do you have PE6, 5, or even 4 that you want to sell or sell a copy to me?

Hello hiddenagenda,
You PE 6 is already obsolete but if you originally purchased a download version of PE 6, chances are the download link is already deativated from your corel account but if you want to see if you can still download the program. If you have purchased an Electronic Software Download (ESD) or a Purchase Key along with Software Download Insurance, please visit www.corel.com/youraccount and login with your username and password to retrieve your order online.
If you did not purchase Software Download Insurance, we can re-send your download information only within 30 days from the date of purchase. After that, we cannot re-send your order information. Please visit http://www.corel.com for a list of our current products. If not then try to search if you can still locate a installer of the trial version of PE 6 from Download.com or from any popular download sites from the net, but I cannot guarantee if you can activate the program since it is as the corel support told you a product that we no longer support.

Re: Lost my Copy to PE 6
That's a tricky question, if you're looking for a technical answer..
When I refer to the installer or installation file(s), it's the program. However to be technical, the installer is a part of this program download. An actual installer file will have the file extension of *.msi (which is Microsoft Software Installer).

I LOVE THIS PROGRAM!! Kioski.net has 30 day trial version available for free download. I want my full version back too. So easy to use and I make some really outstanding promo posters with it. No confusing layers to deal with and sooooo FAST to create with. Wish Corel would make a copy cat version with maybe a new bell or whistle added, but mostly keep it exaxtly the same. I lost mine with everything else in a house fire in Dec/2013. Sucks
