MF7 crashes when trying to open a saved project

Post by wpatters1229 »

I tryed this twice with the same results. I open mf7 and create a new project with HD video and if I take it all the way to the end it burns the video and all is good. I then wanted to go back and change some settings for another burn and all it does is open to the start of the project page and then goes away...no error message or anything. I then went to a forum that said I need the latest active x as that could be my problem. Did that and nothing changed.

I did a smaller project and closed it half way through and then went back to open it up and the same thing happened.

I did both of these after a cold reboot of my pc and opened nothing else...like I said if I stay in the project I can create and burn a disk...just can't ever go back to use that project again.

Any ideas?

Are you opening MF 7 by clicking on your project's icon? If so have you also tried first launching MF7 and then open your project from within MF7?

Yes it fails both ways exactly the same. This morning the project I burned last night opened again using both ways to access. I then deleted the video I used and inserted a different one and closed the project. I then tried to open it again and it failed again both ways. What is going on.

I have to say there must be another way to burn dvds. These are AVCHD videos that are made up of two HD videos edited with Video Studio Pro X3. I then took that file that was rendered as an AVCHD 1920x1084. I was finally able to successfully burn one of the two disks on a DVD+R DL and it came out stunning after much trouble with normalization not working and a few other problems. I did the same thing with the second part of the show and it for some reasons only records half of the video EVEN though in preview it looks perfect...so what the #$^ is that all about.
One thing I would also like to know is why it will not give me an option of not only burning it to a disk but also or as an option burn it to an ISO file. I am turning to NERO since I have been told that it is far superior in dealing with all these issues. If I could I would love to ship this back to Corel and tell them to put it where the sun does not shine....they have been of no help at all and the fact that they can not even fix the normalization issue which has been apparent for some time.
