Where's the PSP 2019 Creative Content download?

Post by DaveG74 »

From the PSP 2019 Welcome screen, in Get More, I downloaded the Creative Content Pack.

I installed it and I can locate it in the app and in Explorer, but I also want the downloaded file.
Where can I find the actual Creative Content download?

Thanks in advance.

Always intrigued me, why don’t they allow us to choose a download / save location for these files.
The Creative Contents Pack downloads are saved to the %temp% folder in a subfolder with an odd name similar to (8fbe18)
After download windows will ask if we wish to install choosing yes will allow access to windows explorer and the %temp% to locate the Corel_CreativeContent.exe file
Copy that file to a safer location, now complete the install
It is possible that completing the installation will remove the Corel_CreativeContent.exe file from %temp% file.

Pardon, but please be more specific? Where is the temp folder?

I kind of figured that the destination file would be temporary.
Thanks again.

%temp% - is a shortcut for the exact temporary file location. If you open up your file explorer and type that into the address bar it'll take you right there.

The exact location is - C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Temp

AppData is a hidden folder so if you don't have hidden folders turned on you won't see it if you try to navigate the old fashioned way.

I have downloaded the Content from the PSP Welcome screen, and not yet clicked Install.
I enabled Hidden Files in Explorer. I navigated to the temp folder, and Creative Content...but that folder is empty.

I'm confused, the download has to "go" somewhere.
Have you had this happen, and could you guide further?

Typing %temp% into the windows search option “ type here to search” will locate that folder.

The download and install process from Get More is not very clear and a little confusing
When we select Download nothing really happens, we can then select Install
Now the download starts saving the file to the Temp folder
So yes confusing.

When the installation starts go to the Temp Folder to locate the “Corel_CreativeContent.exe” to save to a new location.

Oh..... if you cannot see the Welcome – Get More Creative Contents then view the My Library – link to the right

Resolved! :)

I accidentally flubbed one of your instructions, having searched the Creative Content Folder instead.

I clicked Install, then immediately retrieved the new download from the temporary five-letter folder (as you said).
After the install completed, the file was removed. Sneaky!

Thanks for the assistance.
