Video Studio X4 - tutorial - multi-camera editing

Post by pvreditor »

In response to some questions about doing multi-camera editing with VideoStudio Pro x4, I put together a tutorial video. It's now on YouTube here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azz9erpvnZ4

It's nearly 10 minutes long, but I think it gives a good idea of how to do this technique. A fair amount of time is spent on the topic of synchronizing the various tracks -- in this case, I use two video tracks and a separate audio track. It's important to note (and I didn't make this clear in the video) that once you synchronize the tracks, they stay synchronized. You only have to do that part of the process once, and I have had video/audio clips stay perfectly synchronized for the length of a 12-minute song.

The song that you see me editing in the tutorial is on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2YnKIgn0Bc

Anyway, I hope you find the video useful. Let me know if you have any questions and I will attempt to answer them.

Re: Video tutorial showing multi-camera editing with x4

Thanks Bob

I know a lot of work goes into these tutorials, well done.
I have learnt a few things watching the video. I generally use the scissors to cut the clips, the option for Split Clip after right click is new to me, I must pay more attention when viewing the editing options, right click being useful for many edit types.

I will moved a copy of the post to the Tutorial section, where it is less likely to disappear under new posts.

Thanks again.........
