Script - Image to Gradient Map

Post by LeviFiction »

Script Name: ImageToGradientMap
Download Link: ... sp=sharing
Compatibility: PSP9 - 2019
Requirements: Place in Scripts-Trusted Folder
Video Demo: ... yuxks/view

This script simulates the beginning portion of this tutorial -

When you run the script it'll let you pick which image you wish to 'steal' the color grading from. It'll also ask how many colors and what method to use. Each method offers a slightly different pick of colors. While this script does allow you to use up to 256 colors, it's best to not go over 5 for best results.

It then duplicates the reference image, performs the appropriate actions and closes the duplicate image, finally adding a curves adjustment layer to simulate a Gradient Map with the sampled colors.

It also sets the blend mode to soft-light so it may not look immediately like you expect it to. Play with the blend mode to see if you can get something you like.
