I am using VS 2020 ult .on a PAL system that has a Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 Display Adapter. Project format is HVCHD,1920x1080,25 f.p.s.
In the Pref. performance tab under Video Proxy options it shows frame based AVI files at 29.97 f.p.s. and DV Audio NTSC. Also shows under Hardware Acceleration type a choice of Nvidia Cuda or Intel Quick Sync Video- what do I choose here ?
Are the above file options appropriate for me ? those parameters do not look too compatible.
Ken

FWIW, there are several recent discussions apropos your topic.Ken Veal wrote:Also shows under Hardware Acceleration type a choice of Nvidia Cuda or Intel Quick Sync Video- what do I choose here ?
You have an Intel Core i9-9900K which has Intel Quick Sync Video, and a Nvidia card, so try each type and see if either one provides better performance than not selecting either type. Apart from performance, there is the question of stability. Please let us know the results of your testing.

Kenneth, Smart Proxy, make sure “Auto Generate proxy template (Recommended) is selected.
The video proxy options and templates will be greyed out and not used. Proxy files will be automatically created using the correct type for your video.

Thank you for your replies gentlemen
The link below compares both the systems, after looking at it, I prefer the intel result if it is an appropriate here.

Actually that video doesn't show much of use, since it's not stated what NLE he's using, and he's not rendering video clips. The reason that most people use Hardware Acceleration is to speed up rendering which is not even mentioned in that video.Ken Veal wrote:The link below compares both the systems, after looking at it, I prefer the intel result if it is an appropriate here.
