Hi guys, really hoping someone can help with this, contacting Corel Support has got me nowhere.
I have VS Pro 2020 which refuses to render the 4K MPEG-4/H.264 files from my Panasonic camera
Advice from support was to reconvert them into MP4s and suggested XMedia Recode. After struggling to work out how to use the thing I've tried it but none of the three file formats available in MP4 work with VS.
So what do I do?
(As a side note I've discovered that a slideshow I made in VS and exported as MP4 also fails to render when I load it back into VS!)

What are the properties these Panasonic files and what are the project properties that you're using to render?Mahasona wrote:I have VS Pro 2020 which refuses to render the 4K MPEG-4/H.264 files from my Panasonic camera
You probably have a mismatch between the properties this file and the project properties that you're using to render so let VS match the project properties to the video properties.Mahasona wrote:(As a side note I've discovered that a slideshow I made in VS and exported as MP4 also fails to render when I load it back into VS!)
Post an example Panasonic file so that others can try rendering it.Mahasona wrote:So what do I do?

Ah - I might be getting the terminology wrong, sorry if I am.
My problem is that the video don't show in the preview screen correctly, just get green with bars.
A screenshot of the properties is in the first post.

Re: New User With Rendering Woe
Have you verified that you have all updates to VideoStudio?
This is how it shows to me: And it plays just normally from start to end.
Please double check also, that you drivers for Graphical card are updated.
Try have the preview in a different sizes.

Re: New User With Rendering Woe
VideoStudio is fully up to date, same with AMD graphics drivers & Wndows itself. I've just checked and installed.
Still have a green preview screen.

Have you tested with different preferences?
From menu: Settings / Preferences Have you tested a different cameras and different formats? Can you get any of the videos working? Then have you compared what are the differences between the files?

OMG yes it's working! Thank you!
Everything was default in the performance tab, I turned on Smart Proxy and it's now working.
I have no idea what all the technical stuff is about so thanks again!
