Countdown timer simple hack

I needed a countdown timer for a video, that would count down "3, 2, 1" seconds, and couldn't find any way to automate this.

Looking at other suggestions, I ended up using an overlay. I created one with the number "3," formatted the font as I wanted it, and placed it where I wanted it to appear. Set the duration as one second. Then I copied this twice, lining them up on the timeline. Finally, I changed the second one to "2" and the third one to "1."

This results in a nice countdown timer for me. You can see a sample video here:
