Spliting video keeping both sides...

I want to use a video using the same shooting but split in two identycal parts vertically to fit one on the left and the other half on the right, but, keeping size.
The idea is to make the two splited parts to form one only image keeping sizes.
For example, in the room there are two armchairs. Fisrts I sit on the one on the right and I do a film 0f two minuts. I don's stop the camera and i change to the other armchair, continuously shooting. I keep filmimg for a while and stop.
I have a recording where I'm in two different possitions.
I want to use the two halves of the film (right and left coinciding overlaping preserving each in its place.
Very complicated to explain for a Spanish old age pensioner confined at home!

Hi Alfons
I am sure there are several ways to do this but try using the Mask Creator
Using your video on the top timeline make a cut in the middle of the clip
Now you have two clips, one showing the left chair and one showing the righthand chair
Drag the second clip to the overlay track below the first clip
Now apply Mask Creator to the overlay clip, first select Still at the top
Draw the mask on the righthand side of that clip, to cover half of that clip and large enough to cover you and the chair
The background wont be a problem as it’s the same in both clips, try using the Rectangle or Oval both should both work.
Ok will return to the timelines with that mask applied to the overlay clip

You may have to trim the beginning of that overlay clip to sync with the first clip.
Now you have both views of you on the same frames, you now have to trim and align to sync the audio, I assume that what you are intending to do.
