Another sugesstion: add MUTE shortcut please. It would be very usefull.

Also with the Options Panel open there is a mute icon between the 100% and fade options

I mean there should be something like that: click for example "O" button and it's mute material. There is too slow when I need to right click and go tu mute.

I'm not sure if this has ever been suggested. Is it possible to not have a limited amount of folders that can be created when adding media in the media tab? I like to break up the media into different categories so I don't mix up stuff from different projects.

Okay, here's my Wish List item if anyone is looking. I work with legacy video, VHS tapes and such, and I like to edit and save in lossless AVI right up through the final stage of output. So I capture lossless on an ATI All-In-Wonder using VirtualDub2, I use Avisynth and VirtualDub to post-process and deinterlace the capture, and finally I export the video files into VideoStudio for editing and output to MP4 or DVD. All well and good.

What I've recently run into, though, is a situation where I'd like to do the editing in VideoStudio but then export to another program for color balancing of the edited product. I don't seem to have the ability to export in a lossless codec from VideoStudio; I've looked into the settings for both "AVI" and "Custom". I'd like to be able to select either 'HuffyUV' or 'Lagarith Lossless Codec' as my export compression and chose a pixel format of YUV422 or YV12 to preserve the color information; that way I can go back into VirtualDub losslessly and convert as needed. Any chance that Corel could give us a REAL advanced requester for video output?

Edit To Add: For bonus points, support the saving of captured video in compressed lossless codecs (HuffyUV and Lagarith).

Here's a completely separate wishlist item: Portable work folders! I like to edit on one computer and render on another, and I normally have my lossless video files on a hot-swap HDD. I'd like to, very quickly, create a "project folder" on that HDD where my VS Project along with all supporting files...clips, templates, music, screenshots, etc....are saved, so that all I have to do when I finish editing the project is to pull the HDD out of the hot-swap bay, transfer it to my rendering computer, and let it go to town. That would also mean that there should be a chance to save DVD/Blu-ray menus and authoring info BEFORE you begin to burn...we really ought to have this anyway.

I know you can do most of this by going into project preferences, but that's a pain. Let's see if you can streamline this and make it seamless!

File -- Smart Package
The choice to save all our files associated with one project into a single folder is just good housekeeping, a little difficult to save everything especially the programs samples
Video Studio can do that by creating a Smart Package
File – Smart Package – this will take a copy of every file saving them all into one folder.
There are some issues where using some filters will not allow Smart Proxy to work, not sure how many but Mercalli is one.

I am unsure if Smart Proxy will save the DVD Menu details, but when we close the DVD burner we are asked to save the project, I would try saving to the Smart Package folder, I used to name that project as “Burn my Project”
That project does save the disc menu details including the DVD Menu structure.

Would it be possible to add some kind of track selection so you can move multiple clips to keep the timing correct when adding or deleting?

Have you tried Ripple Editing, which can be applied to each track.

Look up Ripple Editing in the User Guide. But to help you along, look for this tiny icon -- looking like two links in a diagonal chain. Activating the one in the top track (by left clicking on it) activates the same in other tracks, though you can also deactivate some of those if you wish by clicking on them again.

I wish Corel would sell Videostudio to someone who will do it justice! They apparently cannot. Serving two masters, VS and PS, does not work well for either one.

Doesn't that also apply to Adobe (Premiere Pro/Elements), Magix ( Movie Studio/ Movie Edit Pro) as far as Magix is concerned, I am not able to have both products on the computer, because of common folders used for New Blue, stuffs up both products

When it crashes give a notice that points towards the cause as other programs do.

I do a lot of work around the font section in Corel 2020 and I've noticed in the OUTLINE section, I can only use the 'round' outline. I wish Corel would allow for the 'square' outline to be available as well. For example, Photoshop has that feature:

Utilisateur de Corel depuis la version x4, x7, x8 ,x10 etc… et maintenant videostudio 2018 qui fonctionne parfaitement.
Je suis passé récemment à la version 2020, mais cette version me semble buggé et beaucoup plus instable que la mienne et je dirai même inexploitable avec Mercalli en fichier sortie xx.mpg.
Après ouverture d’un échange par mail ref 6364269 Corel me demande pour se connecter sur mon PC sans me dire en retour si il rencontre les mêmes problèmes. Mes données sont privées et j’ai donc refusé cette connexion en demandant un remboursement de cette mise à jour qui ne m’apporte que des problèmes.
Problème d’ailleurs confirmé après l’installation chez un de mes amis auquel j’avais conseillé videostudio. Il n’a pas pu avoir la version 2018 (définitive qui fonctionne), car la version 2020 était aussi très instable et inexploitable pour la réalisation de DVD.
