Plan to buy Video Studio 2020? Think twice.

Post by dgvs19 »

Hi Guys,

I have VS X9/10, VS 2018/2019.

What I see Corel is not updates any older versions and never bother to fix the issues. :?:

VS 2019 is problem as other people said same thing.

VS 2020 might not improves or carry same bug is cycle repeatedly.

Corel should release new products every 3 years while fixes all bugs worth 3 years. :!:

I make mistake bought VS2019 for 20 buck on sale, I still use VS2018 for now.

In addition, I have other different video editor that works for me meet my needs. 8)

I agree 100%. I've been burned by updating to newer Videostudio versions too many times.

I've been checking daily for a VS2019 service pack to fix lingering issues--nothing. If there is not a HUGE service pack before the next version is released, Corel can go pound sand.

dgvs19,
I totally agree with you. IMHO, VideoStudio Ultimate X9 was probably the most worthwhile upgrade from earlier versions and stable. From current offerings, VideoStudio Ultimate 2018 is the best.

I wish they would let users downgrade. Bought 2019 in September and it’s completely unusable for me. So many crashes. What a waste of money. I understand 2018 is at least useable, but I do not own 2018.

I fell for it and bought 2019, it is completely un-useable for me, it crashed all the time, so I have to use 2018 which is ok.

I have been an annual user and purchaser since the Ulead days; however, I will not purchase VS2019 Ultimate. Too buggy... So I will stick with VS2018 Ultimate until something better comes along...

Perhaps it is time to consider, life/products without Corel... Maybe Ulead will start up again...
