Re: They're working on something ...

Bibble (2000) Yikes! I met Bibble for the first time in 2006. Never thought that it was one of the first software out there for photography. One of the first affordable "low cost" cameras back then were the EOS 10D and 300D which were announced in 2003. I wonder how many people actually got that mu...

Re: They're working on something ...

@lundbech, many of us do not believe they are doing any coding. Updating a couple of Canon cameras does not take much work. Actually if you mangle exif code, the Canon 6D settings work for a Canon 70D. So if they were really interested in updating it, why haven't they released a one liner code updat...

Re: They're working on something ...

If Corel want to sell or make the source 'open code' then I am available for negotiation. I doubt that Corel management will read this so I dont expect to hear anything from them. My email is in my profile if they do.!!! So you expect a company that paid for the product to give it to you for free a...

Re: They're working on something ...

And once you have bought it, how are you going to keep it current? It's called coding, bananahead. Haven't you ever used opensource? I will list a few projects that do this on a daily basis, for free, that do support newer cameras, even those that Aftershot does not: http://www.darktable.org http:/...

Re: They're working on something ...

but will it give us a revised/updated ASP ? Who cares what they have done or updated. You would at least have the last version you have available. It would give us its code and the ability to update it for newer cameras, add new features, fix bugs for newer distributions... See similar successful p...

Re: They're working on something ...

We should sign a petition on change.org with a request to opensource it, or create a kickstarter to do a hostile takeover bid over the company. Being such a crappy company dealing with customers, I wonder how they manage to survive...

Re: Update 1.1.1.10 removes Noise Ninja

Have any of you tried version 1.1.0-30 to see if that still has NN? It's still posted on the website for download. http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index.jsp?pgid=800161&ppid=4300004 djstarfox, the latest version is 1.2.0.7 and includes NN support. You are reading a thread that is tooo old and does...

Re: EOS 70D?

Indeed! peteln, thanks for the hint. I had noticed an EXIF loading error message, but didn't try fixing it. After several tests, I found that configuring the camera model to 6D (the other 20Mpx camera in the EOS line) seems to work. Other camera settings such as 30D and 40D caused strange colors and...

Re: EOS 70D?

I am considering Lightzone for now as solution ( recently opensourced at: http://www.lightzoneproject.org/ ). It works nicely and the interface is fast and intuitive once you get used to it.

Re: EOS 70D?

Yes, I have tested Darktable and works nicely, and the tools are impressive, but but but... the interface of the app is honestly real bad. In Darktable: -most common basic tools like levels, sharpening, etc are not even in the default menus. -If you create your own list of tools under starred, the l...

EOS 70D?

So I am now a 70D owner... and found out my favourite software still does not support it while other manufacturers add support in advance, and even free software has no trouble to open these files. Am I meant to migrate or is there any chance that an update will come in less than a month? I cannot s...
