Is it possible to write metadata to master files or does anyone tools or plugins to do that?

I just swithed from Apple to Linux and purchased ASP. With ASP and Gimp I can do the same and have the same workflow as with Lr4/Aperture and Photoshop. I hope that Corel continue development because I expect an grow in Linux users. Why, just because Valve come to Linux. Good games and game support ...
