Re: Overlay Moving Around
Hi Gilley One more tip, the empty preview screen shows as black, surrounding the preview screen is also black, so you cannot readily identify the actual frame. As a test change the background colour from black. Settings Preferences- background color. the colour you now see is part of the frame, you ...

Hi Stewart Converting your video file. By the way you did not say what you are trying to make, I assume a video for the internet.? If its DVD then we should consider using DV-Avi Use Settings-Make Movie Templates Manager to create your own Mpeg4 template You should be able to set the properties I po...

Re: What is the best codec to use with VS ProX4?
Hi The screen capture program will control the type of video file you can create. Then decide what you are intending to make, a video for the internet , I would opt for Mpeg4 H264, but don’t know if you are able to create that particular video. HD-Wmv would also be suitable for internet or pc playba...

Re: problem in reinstall the PRO X4
Hi
Have you Un-Installed the program
• 000005468-Uninstalling VideoStudio Pro X4
To install, if the disc does not run correctly, try copying the contents of the disc to your Hard Drive, a new folder on your desktop will do.
Then install from those files.

Re: Audio Lost with Transitions
Hi Graham Interesting, I am not too clever in understanding codecs, they exist some where on my pc. So where is the list? And can you sort the list order to give priority? I have in the past used codec Detectives to scan the pc. So installing Codec packs may take priority over the correct one, not t...

Re: Audio Lost with Transitions
Hi Stuggyduggy The problem with audio playing and Flipping the curser has been mentioned on the forum before. Unfortunately I cannot remember the actual post but think that converting to another format was the only fix. ------------------------- AUDIO To convert/create an audio file, place the video...

Re: NewBlueFX Chromakey - How to make it work
Hi Sorry but I do not have this effect, I guess you have purchased the Video Essentials II collection I only see the P-in P which is provided with Video Studio. The NewBlue site does show the effect as being compatible with X3 and higher. Unless other users have purchased this, then I think you may ...

Re: Save DVD project?
Hi What version of Video Studio are you using? If X4 make sure you have applied the Service Pack 2. There was a problem, is a problem in retaining the chapter names. Do not create your chapter points in the main editing timelines. Create the chapter points after doing Share Create Disc. As Ken says ...

Re: Create a mask!
Hi First using an image editor remove the blue and red colour, save the image as PNG should show the transparency. It may be best to create a background around the rings, this will help in hiding the video. The ring image filling the frame with only the holes being transparent. Using three overlay t...

Hi Gilley The original video file is 640 x 480 this is 4:3 aspect ratio. Can you give the full properties of this file., right click and select properties. What are they? Your project appears to be set to widescreen 16:9, you should take a “SnapShot” when in Project Playback mode. This will create a...

Re: X4: how to remove service pack??
Hi I’m a little confused here……….. Can you give the properties of the original video file, right click the clip in the timeline and select properties, what are they? Now you mention converting to Mp4, and a max rate of 4000, yet I can set 20000kbps when using MP4-H264 So how are you converting your ...

Hi You say you are using Mpeg and Avi type video, Can you give details? Right click each clip in the timeline and select properties, what are they? If you remove all Avi types from the project do you still get the problems? Then try removing all Mpeg. As a test you could of course start a new projec...

Re: Multi-Trim Fast Forward/Fast Rewind Slider
Hi Mike I do not use HD as yet, still to upgrade the camera and player + HD burner. Some things to consider……. Playback of HD, create a BluRay or Avchd folder rather than burning to disc. Save the HD folder to memory stick, uses this to playback the video on the BluRay player via USB. I think Ken Be...
