In ASP - in file system view - go to the drive / folder and right mouse opens a context menu - there you may create a shortcut - don't know if that helps (you also have to scroll down ...) .

I am not sure but I think ASP freezes (and crashes) - on linux I kill the process and start again ...
Sadly ASP is not really stable ...

Yes - you are right rondo - real improvements would be better ... Don't need SmugMug within ASP - but need better stability and better Image quality and so many often posted bugfixes and wished improvements ... HDR is also a gimmick feature because it is not well integrated - no auto re import of th...
