Re: Video Studio Won't Open -- After Windows Update?

I also had downgraded to version 8 and as things like auto music and blue ray authoring were missing I still use version 4 and 5 but now these wont open. Are they going to publish a hot fix for these?

Re: No new patch for VS X5 Pro?

Last year I upgraded to VS X5 and found it to be a lot slower than X4 and often stopped rendering for no reason. I have now unistalled it and reinstalled my X4 version and am rendering all my videos again without problem. The X5 upgrade was just a waste of money and I shall not be sucked in to upgra...

Re: New Info re: AVCHD transition "blips"

Thanks, my settings were MPEG2 Frame resolution 1920x1080 Aspect ratio 16:9 F/s for NTSC 29.97 VBR 18000 Upper Field First If I choose the VS Bluray settings option the resulting video played OK on Media Player but without sound and on the Bluray player the video and sound jerked every second or so....

Re: New Info re: AVCHD transition "blips"

After 12 months of frustration I have at last produced an HD film with VS12 which is smooth and glitch free and plays with sound OK on my Sony Bluray player. My camera is a PanasonicSD9. This is what I did:- First downloaded and installed the free trial of VS 13, this overwrites permanently some of ...

I complained to Corel about the colour scheme. They call it the 'Graphite Look' and said it was to standardise with their other programs. I think that to have lables as Light grey on dark grey make the screen extremely difficult to read unless your room is very dark. Anyone who knows anything about ...

Before I made Phil's changes I had downloaded the VS X3 trial. Perhaps this had placed updated versions of the H264VDec.dll files as my version was 4.2.0.7 dated modified on 17/12/2009.

I have just made the suggestions that Phil Made Quote 1) In Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\MPEG took a copy of H264VDec.dll as a backup, this is the older version of the library (version 2.0.1.4) 2) Take a copy of the newer file from Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\Filters\H264VDe...

Today, using the X3 trial I made a 5 minute video using my .mts files with titles and music and rendered it as a bluray 1920x 1080 resolution film. This time the film rendered OK without the problems VS X2 has. I will have to go back to VS X2 to create a bluray disc. I have struggled for over 6 mont...

I downloaded the trial version yesterday. After a few tests I found that it could not render an acceptable bluray file from my .mts files filmed by my Panasonic SD9 camcorder. The trial version will not allow you to try to create a bluray disc. I would not buy another upgrade that will not render my...

This inability to render high definition video appears to be a feature of VS.

I always go for the simplest version of any camcorder so long as it takes good pictures. All the fancy things can be added in the computer when you edit, you don't need to pay extra to have them in the camcorder.

I have experienced all these problems and have now settled on the Magix program for editing and VS for creating bluray discs from the rendered Mpeg 2 movies. Once I found all the correct setting to use the resulant bluray plays as good as the direct camera to TV quality. It make my previous DV video...
