Re: VideoStudio X6 Installation ERROR

HI MRG I have followed your thread withinterest. One thing stands out to me and that is the fact that you say you have no System Restore points other than "today". That's not a lot of use to you if you get a problem so I would get that sorted if I were you. You caouls have saved yourself a lot of ti...

Re: Video playback very fast

Thanks for the feedback. Interested to hear how the final DVD turns out. Video Studio ProX2 did not handle HD videos very well but way back then Blue Ray players were very expensive so were not that common. Video Studio ProX2 had a particular problem when using transitions as it produced a "judder" ...

Re: Video playback very fast

If the book you have says you shouldn't shoot video in AVCHD Lite then what does it suggest you record video in?

Re: Video playback very fast

Not too sure about this but have you got sound on the clips as well and if so when you play back if the video goes fast what happens to the sound? Does that sound normal? EDIT: reading your first post again do I gather that each individual clip plays OK but when you put them in a project they go fas...

Re: Video playback very fast

Hi Charlotte I have been away from Video work for some time but it looks to me as if your camera is set to take video at 50 frames per sec whereas for normal work it should be 25 FPS. Have a look in your instruction book for this adjustment and then take a new clip at 25FPS. If you can't find the an...

Re: X4 DVD Menu thumbnail numbers

Hi Trevor Am back just or a few days. Have only got the TBYB version of VS X4 but have tried your problem. Can get 1 to 5 to show OK if allon page one of the menu. If you go to two pages then on page 2 the numbering goes back to 1, 2 etc. Heres a screenshot of 1 to 5. Is that what you are trying? VS...

Re: Crossfade and keeping audio in sync

Hi Trevor Indeed I am old enough to remember "the movies". I can remember the last of the silent films and the old flee pit where I lived still had a resident pianist who used to play in the interval! Back to the "Pictures". I assumed a still image as in the first post of this thread the OP referred...

Re: Crossfade and keeping audio in sync

HI daddog
Trevors method certainly works well but going back to your original post I thought you said it was jpeg still images that you were looking to insert. Now it seems that it is video clips. Slightly different workflow required for those two.

Re: Crossfade and keeping audio in sync

I've just done this or very close to it. Here's what I did. Put my main video clip with the audio I wanted to play non stop all through in the Video Track Put a green color block in the overlay track and stretched it to 10 seconds, then I put my jpeg image and set that to 5 seconds in the overlay tr...

May I suggest that using the Search facility at the top of this Forum will reveal that this question has arisen before and is fully answered here:

Re: VS X5: Wish List for Next Version

Thanks for that Ron, now I understand. My fault for not checking. Perhaps it is because I rarely use a transition other than crossfade and that of course works perfectly on the overlay track. I've been even more guided away from other transitions as one of our UK TV channels has recently started usi...

Re: VS X5: Wish List for Next Version

BUGS-R-US Unless I'm missing something, I assumed that X4's new found ability to add transitions to overlay tracks would mean that we could add transitions to PARTIAL window overlays *without affecting* the entire Video track we were overlaying. i.e. I want the bells and whistles of animating window...

Point taken Ken but I had just directed another user to this thread as he was having the same issue and cured it by uninstalling Nero!

Re: VideoStudio X4 Pro - Error during burn

From my very naive viewpoint, I find it strange that this problem has only surfaced with the introduction of VS X4! To me that seems as if it is a problem with X4 and calls for a patch from Corel to rectify it! If not a fault in X4 I wonder why the problem did not manifest itself in earlier versions...
