Re: Need help with using Patterns in name text

Yes it will, I made some edits to the script myself and it ran flawlessly with patterns as long as I removed any undo commands.

Re: Need help with using Patterns in name text

My suggestion, avoid the Undos. Duplicate the original layer, then hide it. Change the characters of the text object in the duplicate layer, and do everything you normally do. Then, instead of Undoing the commands, delete the layer. At the start of the loop duplicate the original layer again, and so...

Re: Need help with using Patterns in name text

I will need to do more testing but this looks like an "undo" bug inside PSP. I got an error on using a pattern. But it was off. "%u" which is not a useful error. And the script refused to finish. PSP kept saying we can't end the script in the current context. Which was weird. Had to force close it. ...

Re: Need help with using Patterns in name text

Cassel would be better at this as she's made several such scripts. Can you tell me what the error is? And would you feel secure sharing the script or at least the part of the script that fails? If you want to share the whole script, put it into a zip file and upload it either here or to your favorit...

Re: flood fill - one pixel residua

Most likely the anti-aliasing that happens when the edges get rotated. I can offer you two possible options 1) Increase the tolerance of the flood fill tool or 2) PSP uses the background color on the materials palette to fill in the corners. So, on the materials palette, before you straighten the im...

Re: Share Button Missing From Organizer

Where did you find those instructions? The last version of PSP that I'm aware of, that supported directly uploading photos to a sharing site was 2019 back when Google+ was still a thing. If I look at the help files for 2020 and 2021 the only sharing options are for email. So i assume they got rid of...

Re: perspective and correction tool

Nothing automatic, no. If the perspective is always the same between photos you can record a script. But a program guessing at what is intended to be straight would still require spot checking as it'll occasionally guess wrong.

Re: page failed to load error while PSP 2021 minimized

That is a known bug they don't currently have a fix for it, there are several ways to trigger it which is the problem. It's the result of the new Photography and Sky-to-Sea workspaces. They are using a chromium browser and angular based webpage to create those workspaces. That error comes up when th...

Re: Corel PSP 2020: Image Scaling Problem?

Are they only bad after upload? Or before upload as well? Because if it's only after upload that would suggest it's the site you're uploading to and not PSP

Re: Re : Refine brush

We have no idea here. Most tools only get minor updates if they get any at all. I imagine they have plans several years out that are influenced by user input (surveys, social media, the forum, phone calls, etc.) and they prioritize based on what's most popular and requested. Anything specific you'd ...

Re: PSP 2021 AI Resize GPU "acceleration"

Hardware and setup. Technically how they take advantage of the GPU also plays in but I imagine that's handled by the AI engine they're using for execution. For me the GPU Acceleration is huge. Cutting down the time nearly by half. On a test image that I cropped and then resized by 400% - GPU - 43 se...

We have the perspective correction tool, yes. It should be on the toolbar. I think it's in one of the tool group buttons with the straighten tool.

Re: Image > Stitch

Those instructions were not for PaintShop Pro as you've found we don't have a Stitch option. You were probably looking at the more expensive software Photo-Paint that comes with CorelDRaw. PSP has merge functions, but those are meant for aligning multiple images and overlaying them either for HDR or...

Re: Paintshop Pro 2020 strokes vanishing bug?

Essentially it's a re-draw bug. Technically it was supposed to have been fixed already. It originally popped up around x5 or x6. I think the last time I saw or read anything about it was with X8. And zooming in and out was our workaround. I don't know if any settings were ever found to help deal wit...
