Re: Video StudioX9 changing my project to Interlaced(lowerfi
As I said it is a little difficult to identify the frame order, like Video Studio the properties shown from Gspot do not say Frame Based or Progressive. GSpot shows 25 frames, that means it is frame based/progressive. If the file was interlaced it would have 50 fields for PAL, 25 upper, 25 lower, b...

Re: Sound blanks about 1 sec apart when creating video or au
Can you record a new video, very short and try that to see if you get the same blanks in the audio.
Are there any settings on the camera that can be changed, have you changed any, even inadvertently?
If there are, try changing anyway to see if another new recording works well.

VS11 is now quite dated. What are your file properties? It may be that todays newer file types do not work well in your older programme.

Re: MF7 capture question
I haven't used MF to capture, but what you need to look for is a "capture whole tape" option, or removal of "split by timecode" option. If you can't find these, then using another capture utility would be best. As you are using Win 7, you may have windows live photo gallery already installed, you ca...

Re: Installed as PAL - Rendering to NTSC for specific projec
I haven't noticed any stuttering, but the resolution difference between NTSC and PAL is noticeable (which after all is one of 2 reasons - the other being colour stability - why PAL was invented). The suggestions re uploads etc are (in more details) what I initially suggested, but the response was t...

Re: VideoCam System AVI files don't import to Corel VS U10
I couldn't do anything with the test clip as supplied, on any of my pc's, even my editing one, which has plenty of codecs on. I couldn't get Handbrake to load it to convert, but I could use freemake, which converted it to an MP4 file and then this could be used in any app I had, VS, Edius, Premiere ...

Re: VideoCam System AVI files don't import to Corel VS U10
AVI is just a wrapper and can contain one of over 800 different file types.
What you need to find out is what codec was used to make the file, install this in your pc and hope VS can pull it in.
It may not, as it will depend on how the codec is made etc etc.

Re: UHD/4K What are the benefits if any?
A lot depends on what the source is. If you are viewing UHD made movie then watching it with a UHD tv will see a difference in quality over an HD tv. If you are watching a HD movie then the difference will be very minimal, and can depend on how good a quality HD tv you use to compare, as each maker ...

Re: Wrong Size Reported When Burning To DVD
How are you burning the disc that you report the size on?
Using VS?
Using another app?
What is that app?
What settings did you choose?

Re: Pro x10 import and burn problems
With regards to the dv file, an apple dv file is different to a windows one. Your copy of vs on windows would be looking for a windows file, I would suggest using the canopus to capture a file with VS on your Mac, this should give you a windows dv.avi file and it should work in your copy of VS.

Re: Rerender same video format cause quality loss ?
As it is a lossy file format - which means with each save there will be some quality loss - you really need to do a small test, or do it and use save as and save it as a different file name, so you have your original copy as well, then check if you are happy with the quality loss. A lot depends on w...

It's also most likely that the new computer has a limited number of codecs installed, so won't play many file types.

Lack of a codec, what did you shoot the video on, did this come with a disc with any software on?
