Sunburst Gradient moving center point

I checked through the topics and could not find anything that was about my issue on moving my sunburst gradient center point on a selection. I have created my own gradient on the materials properties dialog box and have positioned the center down low to give the effect of a light shining on a wall. ...

Re: VideoStudio Crashes

When you say the frame rate is 59 fps, can you give the exact figure, please? I ask since VS has difficulties with frame rates which do not match international standard rates. In the 59 fps range, that would be 59.94 fps, though that is often called 60 fps. If it is another rate, though beginning w...

Setting Photo Impact 12 as default photo program in Windows

This was probably posted some time back but thought it might just note a help here. I use PhotoImpact 12 as most of my main photo editing because it is a powerful and simple program that is easy to use and had reloaded the program into a new Windows 10 laptop. After scratching my head for a while tr...

Re: Old Hitachi video format from early 90's problem

Thank you Ken and Terfyn for your reply. I thought that it may be a bit of a stretch to get this going. It is not so much the Sony download I was worried about as it does seem to capture ok with the capture USB device but the Hitachi format is weird. I could possibly get a cassette player but I am c...

Old Hitachi video format from early 90's problem

I am currently in the process of downloading some video from an old Hitachi video camera circa 1992. I am also downloading some other video from a Sony video camera circa 2000. I have windows 8.1 and am using Video studio pro X6. Both cameras use super 8mm cassettes. But I cannot play a recorded cas...

Re: Rendered video not smooth

Thank you for each of your inputs into the video. One simple thing I haven't checked is that possibly my computer is a bit slow on streaming the video off of YouTube. I will have to try a different computer and browser to see if there is any difference. Lata The frame rate was 30 and i am beginning ...

Rendered video not smooth

I hope someone might give me a little insight on what I can do to improve my video rendering. You can see my motorcycle toy run video on YouTube at http://youtu.be/kDGA_9U51Ys. What I had was two videos the main video was a .mov format, size 1920x1080, 24 bit 1920x1080, frame rate of 30 f/s, 11760 f...

Re: .mov (MPEG4-AVC) crash work around

Ken This was the introduction to the file changing of this program to answer your question on file format type. MP4Cam2AVI is MPEG4/MJPEG to AVI converter/joiner for MPEG-4 camcorders and digital photo cameras. It makes MPEG-4 ASP camera clips DivX/XviD compatible and playable with any DVD-MPEG4 pla...

.mov (MPEG4-AVC) crash work around

Hopefully I am on the right track with this bit of info. I have been downloading some video from my iphone and Canon 5D camera, both in .mov format which I understand to be a MPEG4-AVC. When I try to play this .mov file on the edit line in Video studio 11 plus or Video Studio Pro X3 it crashes. So r...

Re: Templates

Thank you Ron for your notes on Pro X3. I purchased the new version and it works a lot smoother than my VS11plus. I just need to work around a few .mov video file crash problems that I also had with VS11. I may be short on memory. Only 2 gigs but 8gigs on the way for my quad core. :) Thanks again

Re: VideoStudio Crash when I try to edit

This is very interesting. I loaded a .mov file from my iphone and found a similar edit crash problem on Video Studio 11plus. So I thought I needed an upgrade and went to Pro X3 but found it did the same thing. I loaded a .mov file from my Canon 5D and it works properly. I wonder what the difference ...

It has been a while since I have done any video editing and was looking at the new Video Studio X3. And since all you veteran users have had some good hands on I was wondering how it compares with Video Studio 11 plus from about a 3 years ago vintage. Especially in the recording disc process as I ha...

This is really sad  I have used PhotoImpact since version 4 back in the 90's. It was really excellent back then with no running problems. I can see though since Corel has bought out Ulead (hope I got that right), that there has been really no deep repairs done to the program. I see by the probl...

Null Gallery files

Yes Catballoo you are quite right in what you said. I had the same problem and those .smp gallery files were suddenly gone from my computer. One moment I was using them and they just disappeared. I had to load those .smp files from another computer to restore them in the gallery. I wonder if this ma...
