Re: Being asked by Win 10 to run setup for PSP 8!

First of all, PSP8 is very old software and not supposed to be compatible with Windows 10. I can only suggest you uninstall PSP8 then reinstall and use in a different compatibility mode. The message is telling you it can't find the installer for the programme. You may have to give your HDD a PSP cle...

Re: Eye Candy 7 as plugin for PaintShop Pro X9?

Are you able to see Eye Candy 7 in the plugins list in PSP......remember this is a 64bit version and will work in PSP 64 bit programme. I, for the life of me cannot get my Eye Candy 7 to work In PSPX9, even following Alien Skin's advice, however, that is for X2 and X3, much has changed since then. ...

Re: Cannot use Visman filters in PSP X9 Ultimate

You can install Visman filters into Filters Unlimited. They work like a dream in there. If you don't have FU, you can download a freebie, google Filters Unlimited and download. They only work in 32bit PSP. When installed, do the usual File locations in PSP and locate to FU. File/Preferences/File Loc...

Re: Cheap Price - Video Studio 10

Something quite odd. It placed a 64bit folder on my desktop! Why would it do that? I also checked the C drive and now find it's there too. Most of the files are in Program Files (x86) / Corel / Corel VideoStudeo X10..........why is it called X10 rather than 20.....lol

Have you tried googling for Photoshop plugins that match what you require? PS plugins work in PSP.

Re: Cheap Price - Video Studio 10

It was about 10MB. Yes, I can see the programme in ProgramFiles (x 86) but strangely, not in 64bit even though the installation was for 64bit. This is extremely odd!

It takes a while to load. Not as fast as previous X8 which is what I had.

Cheap Price - Video Studio 10

I've just been offered VS 10 for $32.00 AUD to purchase the full version. It is $79 to upgrade so you can guess what I did! It's installing as I type. Plus it's a nice 64bit version.
I'm looking forward to learning the new features!

Re: plugins in x9 not showing up since last update

Barb, if you did an update you may need to do File Locations again and direct you plugin folder to PSP. However, you don't say what you updated?

MS updates always mess up my PC. Mostly returns items to default. I always dread MS updates. However, it never interferres with PSP :)

Re: Eye Candy 7 as plugin for PaintShop Pro X9?

I'm happy to say that I finally fixed up my Eye Candy 7 and use it with 64bit PSP. I reinstalled the programme into my C \ Program Files \ Alien Skin \ Eye Cany 7. PSP File Locations. Direct to the above file. I now see EC7 in my 64bit version of PSP. You can do the same for 32bit, but I don't often...

Re: 64 bit plugins curiosity question

I rarely use 32bit PSP, preferring it to the 64bit version. This latter version only allows you to use plugins/filters than are 64bit. All old plugins you will find are for 32bit and therefore won't work in PSP 64bit. Depending on how many times you need plugins will depend on your use of 32bit. The...

Re: Particle Shop in PSPX9

Thanks everyone for your input. I knew I was doing something wrong. I didn't direct PSPS plugins to the photoshop plugin folder (I find this very odd that we have to access a photoshop folder), anyway, it's now working fine. When I initially installed it I was given an update straight away with extr...
