Re: Advance=1 not effective in VS Pro X2
I don't understand how MPEG works, but a smaller GOP is not necessarily more optimized. I assume the defaults tend to work best for most video material. MPEG is lossy compression and the amount of information lost is mostly related to bitrate If you have space on the disc, try a higher bitrate. If y...

Re: DVD Xpack plays sound but not video DVD
I have not tried either of those tools...
But, I can recommend VLC (FREE!!!)
I can also recommend Corel WinDVD. But since you have having trouble with those two Corel tools, I suggest you download the free trial of WinDVD before you buy it.

Re: Wind noise extraction MP4
I've got a older version of Video Studio, but there should be a way to create a sound file. It's better to convert to WAV, because both MP4 and MP3 are lossy and you should minimize the number of lossy-to-lossy conversions. BMost audio editors will directly open an audio/video file and extract the a...

Re: Do WinDVD Pro Xpacks work in Windows 32 and 64 bit?
I don't know, but I don't see that it supports Blu-Ray.
I have WinDVD running on Win7 64-bit and it plays DVDs & Blu-Ray. VLC (FREE!) will play DVDs and most audio/video formats, but it does not play commercial Bly-Ray discs (at least not "as supplied").

What kind of connection do you have? VGA? HDMI?
What happens when you play other (non-DVD) videos in WinDVD? Or, if you have a homemade (not copy protected) DVD, try it.

Re: Capturing DVD's with multiple audio tracks
VOB2MPG can do it. (The basic version is FREE.)
VOB2MPG combines the VOB files into one big MPG file without re-encoding. (Like Video Studio, it does NOT work with encrypted/copy protected DVDs.)

Re: Windvd 2010 issues.
This page has some updates to WinDVD 2010 and WinDVD 2010 Pro. I don't know if that will help... You may have already applied these updates, and/or you're not sure if you even have WinDVD. The Blu-Ray player that came with my Toshiba laptop doesn't say "Corel". I found a this Toshiba Player Softwar...

Re: WinDVD Pro 11 Blu Ray Problems
"Your display environment does not support protected content playback". This confused me because when I looked into it I found this page (http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... Ray-Movies) which states that's either I'm trying to play from 2 monitors at once which I'm not, or my monitor has HD...

Re: Output Sound Quality
I don't know, but DTS-HD has a regular (lossy) DTS component and a correction component that allows lossless decoding. All Blu-Ray players (and player software) can play all of the formats, but they are not required to play them all losslessly. Wikipedia says: Combined lossless/lossy compression. Wh...

Re: Volume control when burning a DVD
Not during the burning process. You have to adjust the volume during editing, before encoding & burning. Even if you are not doing any other editing, that's the time to do it. I assume you are using Dolby (not LPCM). There might be something "funny" with Corel's Dolby encoder. In the past, I remembe...

Re: Speed up VideoStudio with a solid-state drive?
I would guess that you would get some improvement with some operations, but only where the hard drive is the bottleneck. I've read about people installing solid state drives and not noticing a big difference (not necessarily Video Studio users). But, this is just random anecdotal information and may...

Re: How to use a recorded DVD as input
You can do that with Video Studio. I don't have Video Studio on this machine, but you click on the Capture tab, and I believe the option is Import From Digital Media , or something like that. I downloaded Wondershare and that was easy to use to create an input file and I used VSProX4 to edit the fil...

Re: DVD verify after burning in X5
For many programs that have a "verify" it usually means that they verify that the burned data can be read - there is no comparison done between the actual data burned and the source data.... ... Often DVDs that fail verification will still play correctly... There two things (at least) that can happ...

Re: Screen capture not recording menu items in FL Studio
This is a user-to-user forum, so it's unlikely that anybody here knows how the menus are generated in Video Studio. It sounds like a problem with FL Studio. It might have something to do with the overlay feature of your video card, but that's just a wild guess... And, I have no idea what the solutio...
