Re: moving selection marquee how to?

I think this is what you are looking for (and a bit more): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBYyPa6kjRA

I suspect that you let go right after the right-click (which indeed de-selects). The docs meant to say: drag the marquee with the right mouse-button.

hartpaul is right, I didn't realize the question was about the text scrolling.

Re: Do we have anything close to Ps StockSolo and Icons8?

[snip] I wouldn't worry about supporting multiple versions of PSP being currently open. [snip] Hmm, on a 2nd thought, "starting" PSP from the app does need a way of knowing where PSP's executable full pathname is located. I guess the easiest way is to let user specify that once in the app, via file...

Re: Do we have anything close to Ps StockSolo and Icons8?

Was thinking of trying to make a standalone python/tkinter exe doing the job, mostly for practicing tbh... I'll have a look at that 3rd party web widget too, though my main concern is 2-fold: a) displaying the search results without needing to list them all at once b) getting the user selection from...

Re: moving text qery

With the star being a vector shape, you activate the text tool, then you click EXACTLY on the stroke (outline) of the star when the cursor shows a T angled on a curve, then you type your text.... it will follow the star, like that. Here is a video explaining it in details: https://www.youtube.com/wa...

Re: Do we have anything close to Ps StockSolo and Icons8?

I start thinking that all this is way too overwhelming after all. I mean this should be really done by Corel themselves as a core part of PSP. Affinity Photo has it (calls it Stock), Ps has those free extensions (just came across another one just for pixabay ) and PSP has nothing. Anyway, looking at...

Re: Do we have anything close to Ps StockSolo and Icons8?

Yeah that's not gonna be for a while. What you saw in the demo was purely HTML and CSS all stolen from examples online. The only javascript was getting the images preview locations from Pixabay. There is still a ton of work to do to make it actually useful. Levi I just updated mine in the scripting...

Re: Stock Multi Search [Updated]

For the past few days I'm using this script as a Guinea pig, trying to familiarize myself with Tkinter mostly, but also with python and PspScripting. Along the way some usability improvements also came up, so I updated the 1st post with a new version. I kept the original version too, just in case. A...

Re: Smart Clone Ajustments When Pasting

I'm not aware of any such adjustment, other than the 3 options under the Mode dropdown: http://prntscr.com/10y8hf3 PS. I also hope Corel does something about the crippled usability of the Smart Clone. It does a great job for removing skin pimples for example, but it really needs a useablity upgrade ...

I think Dave meant to say the Smart Clone tool (that one can be indeed set to freehand too)

Re: How can I make a translucent layer/image?

[snip] In order to get everything matching with blur, I'd have to be able to add a blur effect to the image below, and save it as a .png or other type of image file and retain the blur effect, so Curtains could sample it and apply it the GUI elements. AFAIK, that's not possible. As Levi already men...

Re: Quick reminder please!

Terry, you can still get back the old input text-box by Shift + Clicking inside the canvas with the Text tool active (instead of single-clicking): https://gyazo.com/960da6af3914f685e4589d31ecad99ab

Re: Speed Effect.

In my opinion, the easiest way is to use custom powder or dust brushes, and use the Dropper tool to sample colors from the image, while painting with the brush(es) in the areas of interest. The above links point to lots of free such brushes (they are for Photoshop but later versions of PSP can direc...

Re: Quick reminder please!

For one object/layer I'm not aware of any other method besides dragging (or using the keyboard arrow-keys - plain or combined with Shift Control or Shift + Control) and using Guides for precise placement (I think you meant Guides, not Rulers) There is also the "Objects -> Align" menu which can help ...
