Re: Lens Profile

It is a tragedy. Now even Lensfun has had no updates anymore since November 2015. Still version 0.3.2. So no new lenses included. So for my cameras Panasonic DMC LX100 and the Panasonic Lumix GH5 my problems are solved. I did a feature request to Corel in September 2019, telling them that Panasonic...

Re: Order of "Filters" applied

Thanks for the responses so far. Well it was supposed to be my first "4K" movies shot with my family and my 3/4 year old son back then. I don't need to do it immediately, but sooner or later I want to do it. I found it an interesting Mercalli filter application-exercise with these clips. ;-) I saw t...

Re: Order of "Filters" applied

I have the German program version installed. So some things of your instructions are difficult to find again. My source file is this: PAL (25 fps) MPEG-4-Dateien 24 Bit, 3504 x 2336, 25 fps Bild-basiert H.264 High Profile-Video: 105600 kbps 48000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo MPEG AAC-Audio: 128 kbps I only go...

Re: Is there image stabilization?

Apply the FX filter Mercalli 2.0 and then experiment a bit with the different values ... Remember before you can see the result VS2018 is analyzing the footage ...

Re: Order of "Filters" applied

The 2 step approach doesn't work. It is impossible to export that size of 3504 x 2336 ... So no de-shake in the first run and then resize. :-( I can't choose the user defined picture size in the output configuration. It is not selectable. Also output like the 1st clip doesn't work. Since the error m...

Order of "Filters" applied

I have a whole vacation footage of my Panasonic LX100 when I used it first. By mistake I recorded in 4:3 at highest resolution instead of 4k at 16:9. My footage is now 3504 pixel wide and 2336 pixel high. My plan is to change it back to 16:9 format by cutting off top and bottom and then scale up to ...

Re: Which graphics accelerator actually works with VS?

That's the problem I saw with all Corel products I use. ASP3 included ... But Corel doesn't seem to be alone with it. When see in my facebook groups what people write what they use ... then 75% of them are happy with Final Cut Pro X. As always Apple did focus on optimizing their programs on their ha...

Re: VideoStudio2018 and 10-bit 4:2:2 video files

Yes the original footage was 4.2.2 in 4K at 29,970 fps at 400Mbps ... The export settings are this (I took the default 30fps one and adjusted to 29,970fps): MPEG-4-Dateien 24 Bit, 3840 x 2160, 29.97 fps Bild-basiert H.264 High Profile-Video: 65000 kbps, 16:9 48000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo MPEG AAC-Audio: ...

Re: VideoStudio2018 and 10-bit 4:2:2 video files

Even VS 2018 can read the 10 Bit footage of a GH5 and work with it. Exporting it looks like this result:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=12eoQu ... yHg-EW1Pd4

Crap!

VS2018 identifies the original codec from Panasonic as H.264 High 4.2.2 Profile-Video at 29,970 fps and audio LPCM ...

Yes, Videostudio is locked to 65.000 kbps as maximum ... everything I tried to get to higher rates is impossible.

Re: 4:2:2 10 bit video files

My notebook is 2.5 years old. It is the high-end Zenbook from ASUS from back then. Not the ROG series, which would have been even more potent, but I don't like the design ... It is the CPU: i7-4720HQ @2.60Ghz with the Intel HD4600 in the CPU, 16GB memory and the NVIDIA GTX960M. The h.265 support in ...

Re: 4:2:2 10 bit video files

These are the tools I know of. I would use them if I had a 10-bit camera and was determined to stick with VS. But your point above is valid - if you shell out for a camera that can record 10-bit 4-2-2, there are better NLEs than VS to make the most of it. I have never tried DaVinci Resolve, but it ...

Re: 4:2:2 10 bit video files

I don't understand those who happily shell more than $2K for high end cameras but can't spare few extra $ for a proper NLE software. Yes. You are absolutely right. The point that I wanted to continue with Corel was that in my former PC Corel products were bundled and I already knew it. But I didn't...

Re: 4:2:2 10 bit video files

. New cameras are made all the time and software makers are not told ahead of time about them and in fact the file specs are not shared. This I cannot agree with. These cameras are out for interested companies/people ahead of time. Corel could just ask Panasonic to get one camera. I believe this is...
