Re: High Quality mp4 s are muddy in VS2020
Indeed it's crap as I always said. VS's mp4 is not good for animation. This is why I use only WMV when I have animation segment.

Did you record the audio in X9 or in sound program (the proper way)?

Re: Flash animation
MOV with alpha will be better, but QT must be installed and I will be very surprised if VS will render Alpha (VMS and Vegas can do so). Have you done so Trevor? *Robert, from my tests over the years I found that "animations" are better in wmv's over H264 mp4's which introduce subtle noise on the vid...

Re: Flash animation
I just spent 5 hours rendering over 500 swf's to wmv.
I used X9 on my W7 disk. I see that VS2018 here, also reading them well.
The cut of date of 12.1.21 was embedded in the player way back.

Re: VideoStudio 2020 and Flash Player
Have you update flash player ? "The new update also brings an actual date to Flash's actual demise in the form of January 12, 2021 — the date after which any type of Flash content won't run inside the Flash app. Skipping this last Flash update won't remove this "time bomb," however. Adobe told ZDNet...

Re: Flash animation
David, you're very very optimistic.
** does VS auto replace that with a mov file of the same name?
VS is not very clever (to say the least)... while I do not have 2020 installed I'm sure that it's MOV's are totaly different in looks, than the very old swf's.

I don't see any problem of keeping the current flash player installed and disabling it in the browsers.

Short Q Landon,
Do you think that 300 in-out arbitrary zoom's will make your project interesting?

The fact that
"I didnt think i would be having these issues with the laptop i got. i have an i9 processor, 64gb of ram and an NVIDIA rtx 2070 videocard."
probably SSD also and still needs smart proxies is not good point for a software.

Re: Want to divide existing slide show into individual frames
GIGI, for your task cue points and chapter points are the same. It was 35 years ago since I last used a Steenbeck and that was for only very short time as I went to video and not to celluloid. I thought I was clear with those arrows, Once you open the cues manger just add them manually at 10,20,30 s...

Re: Want to divide existing slide show into individual frames
Hi GiGi, the trimer is cumbersome for that task. you better split the long clip on the time line using the S key.
Just add cue points, jump to them and split. in 2 minutes your done.

Re: Adobe flash player?
One bad thing can happen, if swf files will not run.
I don't know if they use the external flash player.
Maybe it's good idea to render them now over solid color or black to mp4's
** I did few tests, rendering to mp4 is a total crap, wmv is much better.
