Re: VS Pro X4 Help needed
You could also try another DVD to make an iso to see if the problem is with the DVD drive. Thanks. It's actually grinding copying the files off of the original VS disc. I finally got an image after nearly 10 hours! I have now burnt and verified the image ok and will try to install it on another com...

Re: VS Pro X4 Help needed
Hi If you are trying to create an iso direct from disc, you may be best to copy the entire discs content to your hard drive first, or is that what you are trying to do. :?: Then save those files to another disc. It is possible that its your drive that is struggling. Do you have access to another pc...

Re: VS Pro X4 Help needed
Thanks Brian, I didn't unfortunately. I am trying to make an ISO copy of the original disc so I can burn a replacement but so far it's taken nearly 2 hours as it is struggling to read the original disc.

VS Pro X4 Help needed
Hi, I have a retail disc copy of VS Pro X4 and it was very slow installing. On inspecting the disc its seems to have circles/spots on the disc. It looks like a manufacturing flaw. It took ages to install on my new PC and am worried that I might not be able to do it again. Is there anyway I can downl...

Re: Anyone Still Using DVDWS2
Me! Still hanging in there. Might have to try Sony DVD Architect Studio again. Its the only thing that came close but wasn't as easy to use as DVDWS2. No other software comes close, particularly VideoStudio. Its so frustrating not being able to create a menu the way you want it. Still hoping that on...

Ebay is your best bet if you want to obtain a legal copy. Still using it on Win7 myself.

Re: DVD Footage Restoration
Yes, I was trying to work out if it was actually shot in colour, but I really think it is. It is the Queen visiting the opening of a large Town Hall so I guess its an event that would attract the use of a colour camera.

Re: DVD Footage Restoration
Its 1937 and its film of a public event. It looks professionally shot (as I suppose it would have been in 1937 as I imagine not many people had camcorders!) It is poor quality, with poor definition and detail. What I have added is Sharpen as much as I think as I can get away with and Color Balance. ...

Re: DVD Footage Restoration
If you do anything at all in the timeline - like applying filters or even just cutting a small piece out of the middle - you must render out a new video file which will contain your new additions and edits. Thanks Brian, I understand all the other stuff in your post reL timelines and project files,...

Re: DVD Footage Restoration
Thanks guys. So does applying filters result in re-encoding anyway or is it a bit smarter than that?

DVD Footage Restoration
I have a DVD of some old 1937 film footage. It was obviously taken as a direct transfer from degraded film stock. I have loaded it into Videostudio from the DVD (which VS has loaded as .mpg files) I have applied some sharpening and visual filters and want to export the footage. Is it best to export ...
