Re: Voice over issue

I have used voiceover on a number of occasions with X10. My suggestion is:- Complete the video then run through it a few times while making notes of what you want to say. Decide if your voiceover needs to straddle a couple of clips. Write your script (or make notes) and run the voiceover. (clearly y...

Adding photos to the sample file

I wanted to add two jpeg photos to the sample file so they would appear in VS2018. The photos were added and I renamed them to align with the existing jpeg photos. The problem is that they do not appear when I open the program. Do I need to set up my own samples file or is there a method to make the...

Re: New PC build for VS 2018

One simple approach is to copy the minimum spec supplied by Corel on their web site and use this as a basis for a new build. You can always go "better" than the spec given. The minimum at Corel (or any other hobbyist software company minimum) has no relation at all to real life edit work. It's just...

Re: Media Window / VS 2018

Why compare to VS10. 2018 has a new approach which should be tested before comparisons are made. I found the new layout daunting at first but IMO it is better than VS10 as it is more flexible and easier to access the options.

Re: Media Window / VS 2018

On the right of the screen above the Timeline there are three symbols, first a double window overlapping, next an open book symbol and third a pencil on page symbol. (They do move according to the page shown above.) Try clicking on the left hand (double window) to restore the library. I suggest you ...

Re: sharpness setting for videos?

Possibly the easiest way would be to improve the sharpness of the GoPro video before importing into VideoStudio.
But you can try the "Sharpen" effects in FX. Drag on to the video in the timeline. open and customise the effect.

Re: URGENT, PLEASE HELP -- VideoStudio X10 won't export vide

If you are so desperate, why not try Windows Movie Maker or a down market version from another supplier (Serif?) VideoStudio is an excellent programme which is aimed at easy editing and production of videos. ( Not only is this editor a piece of crap, but so is the community around it for apparently ...

Re: Importing DVD files

I presume you are aware of the "Select All" icon on the top line of the Import screen. It is a "film" icon with a tick in the section nearest the zoom control. You have Select All, Cancel Selection and Invert Selection to choose from.

Re: reduce the sound volume of the frame

Right click on the camera track. click on "Split Audio". This will move the camera audio track onto the "voiceover" line. Pull it down onto the first "music" line. Now highlight the clip by clicking on it (yellow lines around it) Now open the "sound mixer" (icon- note with zigzag lines) Click on "At...

Re: Video Studio X10 no sound

With X10 open. Right click on the speaker icon and then Open Volume Mixer. Check the column with Corel VideoStudio has the volume slider up towards the middle.
