Re: Can VS, or a nice plug-in, scan many hours (100's) of video for level changes or motion?

John, have you looked at the "Split-by Scene" option of VideoStudio? It can split your video into separate clips on the timeline. Depending on what you then want to do, you have to look at each clip of course if you are looking for a particular "scene change". There is no way around doing a lot of m...

Re: No project message when inserting to timeline??

I have no problems processing mov files (even 4K) with VS 2020. Obviously that Corel engineer is not correct.
Can you upload a short problem clip for us to test?

You should be asking your camera maker why the are using a format that is no longer supported.

Which VS are you talking about? Your subject title says VS 2020 but you mention 2021 in your text

What is vmw? You keep mentioning that in your post or do you mean wmv?

Converting mp4 to wmv will not improve the quality.

if you want a reliable rendering in .mpg convert your files to .mpg using an external converter such as free avsconverter, it works, videostudio 2019 superior does not like xx.mpg files
I don't know where you got that idea .... VS xxxx has no problems with mpg files.

Re: How do you remove orange trim points?

If you are creating a new slideshow, you should not "delete" the old slideshow but instead select "New Project" from the File menu and the add your "new" slides to the timeline. There are no "orange" trim markers involved in this case or needed

Re: Want to divide existing slide show into individual frames

The time as shown in the Preview window has the format hh:mm:ss:ff where ff indicates the number of frames per second not milliseconds.
How many slides are in the slideshow (which is actually a video)?

Re: Convert step got some problems [257:0:0]

According to the images posted, the video is near 60 minutes which is close to the DVD limit at best quality. Adding a menu will of course increase the size. Could it be that the multiple menu pages exceed the DVD limit since a single menu page works? Perhaps reducing the bitrate setting will allow ...

Re: Rendering!

Not much useful info in your post. What are your trying to create: a DVD, a BlueRay or what? Exactly what happens? What doe "without success" mean? do you get any error messages? Also, there is no point in rendering to AVCHD if you are trying to create a DVD since that requires the mpg format Please...
