I cannot help you for .png as input (ASP is a raw converter - cameras usually create raw or jpg files). But you can use simple scripts to export to .png This is suggested by the book AfterShotSurvivalGuide (not available any more): "Generating PNGs: AfterShot 5 does not support generating PNG files....

use multiview - select the two (or more) versions ...

ASP is non destructive - so its a good idea th not overwrite the original - you can make variants very quickly and export wit Ctr +S or with advanced and fast batch exports.
