Thanks for everyone's replies two years ago, above. I am still fairly happily using PI and function wise, I still do not know what I am missing with PS because Photoimpact does all that I need.

Suit yourself Alan. I agree, PI 11 was unreliable but then again, so was PI XL (for me and some others at least).

PI 12 is much better and I would not want to swap it for PS if that was given to me :D I'm sure there are compelling reasons why one would want to have PS as well. I know a number of people on this board alone who use both, each for its strengths.

Ten years later and I am still using Photoimpact.

I still do not know of any command or functionality that I want but do not have.

I found pixlr online version best for me. without make load on my laptop or without filling any space I can edit my images online easily. more convenient and easy to use.

That post by Ksharon sounds like spam to me.

I am still happy with Corel Photoimpact X3 and don't know what I am missing.
I would not want to use an online service since I believe it would be less speedy and I would need an internet connection.

Bearing in mind that this is a thread about the relative merits of Photoimpact VS Photoshop, and that you have only made two posts to these forums, I still think that you are being paid to (be?) "just mention according to my point of view," as a form of comment spam to boost the sales of the pro version, especially since despite claiming to be a teacher from the US you appear to be of limited English ability.

I tried the software that you are recommending and it is not bad but less sophisticated than Photoimpact.
