Wallpaper Roller v4.52

Postby cosmicDread » Fri Feb 17, 2017 6:18 am

Script Name: 'Wallpaper Roller v4.52'
Compatability: PaintShop Pro X5+
Requirements: Place the main 'Wallpaper Roller v4.52' in a trusted script folder.

This program is written for execution by the Corel's PaintShop Pro X5+ computer programs. The program is designed to create wallpaper, compositions, and textures. One can create wallpaper for a device using one or more images. The program will resize an image to fit a provided resolution, use roller styles to generate abstract backdrops, make 3D effects to add illusion, and provides tools for image placement.

Changes made to Wallpaper Roller:
Wallpaper Roller v4.5:
- Fixed an exception error in the escape route of 'Format Options'.
- Fixed semi-transparent input image handling. Semi-transparent images will now frame.
- Fixed an oversight where the background image wasn't checked for usage.
- Completely transparent images can now used. They just can.
- Roller styles use a mask to preserve transparency.
- Improved 'Drop Shadow's handling of semi-transparent images.
- Added internal silent mode for when user chooses interactive mode.
- Added new 3D effects: 'Sand Blast' and 'Rad Wave'.
- Added a session file corruption check.
- Included an 'Extra' gradient file named 'Rainbow' inside the .zip file.

Wallpaper Roller v4.51:
- Fixed a problem with Ceramic Chips where missing border parts messed with layer organization.
- Added a minute effect to "Drop Shadow".
- Added a new 3D effect: 'Used Stencil'.
- Improved performance by switching from non-zero type masks to opacity type masks when making 3D effects.
- Moved 'Automate' check button to 'Process' group as it now controls several areas:
-- 3D effects;
-- Several Roller Styles;
-- User permissions:
--- Resize image;
--- Merge layers;
--- Convert vector to raster;
- Included an 'Extra' gradient file named 'Sun Arc' inside the .zip file.

Wallpaper Roller v4.52:
- Fixed Border Line and Sand Blast 3D effects. There was a problem where a layer was missing, causing the shadow layer to be bombed by the effect process.

The main window:

The Automate button has moved reflecting its expanded functionality.

Format Options:

To reuse 'Format Options', save them using a preset.

During my research, I saw a post by someone who wanted a program that could create this type of format:

layout.jpg
I was googling for layout inspiration when I saw this image.

Here is how you can do that with merge cells:

Group, divide, and slice.

With custom cell placements:

The 'No Pic' option is new.

And lastly, cell margins:

No picture. No problem.

This is an example of the layout preview as rendered in PSP 2019.

This is the 'Layout' preview:

In the upper-left, the Document title is new.

This is a quick 'Recycled Tech' example:

The results are unpredictable, but that's part of the fun.

This is an example of 'Sand Blast' 3D effect:

The glassy frame material is semi-transparent.
Smooth the rough spots, soften the edges, reflect the light. This is art, no wait, life.

This is an example of the 3D effect 'Rad Wave':
Rad wave.jpg
The customizable frame uses 'Wave' and 'Twirl' to create interest.

Here is the Used Stencil 3D Effect in action:
sample.jpg
The stencil font is used to impress but is not part of the actual effect.
