Pitty about the screenrecorder. Could really have done with that. Ah, well never mind.

In the meantime, I've been looking for alternatives, and I really did not remember the Organizer. It works well for what I need, I set up a keyboard shortcut to show / hide the Organizer, I need to get used to it so far I've opened all the images in the work, and maximized them through the Window menu, which is now no longer available. Thank you for your answer!
You can show/hide the organizer without a keyboard shortcut. You can have any palette "auto-hide" by clicking on the pin icon next to the x for closing the palette. The image illustrates where mine is located when hidden and when you hover over the tab it pops up.
LeviFiction was referring to trays. Click on the arrow at the far right of the bottom bar in Manage mode and the menu pops up that allows you to open the Trays tabs.

With the pick tool active, you can accidentally click on another layer; you had to change to another tool away from deform to do that. Just something else to get used to.

The Adjust is still there, just not obvious. You can get to it by double clicking an image in the Manage tab but not much you can do there. The tools in the Adjust tab from previous versions are gone. I know they are still on the Edit menu but I liked having them all together in Adjust.
I haven't noticed anything different with the crop tool; it looks the same to me. I like that the script toolbar fits next to the standard toolbar instead of having to be on a line by itself. I had to hunt the File Locations; I don't see the point of moving it out of Preferences.

Raster Deform was an earlier version of the Pick tool and had a shortcut of D. It has been left out of the 2018 PSP as it no longer has a purpose different from the Pick Tool. As for a keyboard shortcut. You can assign D to the Pick tool and still use that shortcut key as it is unassigned to anything else in Edit mode.
Or am I missing something. Can you describe something different that you can do with the (Raster) Deform tool that you cannot do with the Pick tool
"With the pick tool active, you can accidentally click on another layer" This is a feature rather than a defect - with 4 different picture tubes n 4 different transparent layers, now you don't have to select a layer when moving say a number of picture tubes around. Just click on each tube in turn and the layer is automatically selected for you. This speeds up processing and rearranging greatly.
In Edit mode
In X4 and X9 and 2018 you have Straighten and Perspective Correction linked together.
In X4 X9 and 2018 you have Warp Brush and Mesh Warp linked together.
Looking back in Jasc PSP 8 you have Deform (Raster Deform), (Straighten , Perspective Correction) and (Mesh Warp together and also a Warp brush under the Paintbrush.)
For Adjust do (in Edit mode) File > Preferences > General Program Preferences and select Tabs . Then tick the Adjust box and you have Adjust back up there beside the Edit . You can also put Manage there if you like as well. Comparing Adjust in 2018 with PSP X9 there is no difference that stands out apart from larger icons.
The Crop tool in earlier versions when you rotated the crop box, it was the box that rotated, while in 2018 the image rotates .
File Locations is now available in Edit (Complete) , Manage and Adjust , just not in Essentials.
