vidoman, thank you. I respect you for your knowledge and your efforts.
However . . . . . here is a small
DV mpg file:
http://almatl.home.comcast.net/08051622.mpg
It was shot using a Sony DCR-DVD405 last week. It was loaded onto my system directly from the camera. It has not been modified in any way.
If you view it using Windows Media Player you will notice that there is
NO time stamp.
If you load it into Video Studio 11 you will see there
IS a time stamp.
I can't get Video Studio 11 to turn it off. The Preferences option
Display DV time code on preview window will not turn it off.
None of my other software shows it (Windows Movie Maker 5-Pinnacle Studio 10) nor do they give an option to see it.
Even older versions of Video Studio did not have a problem with it (I have had the camera for a year).
Video Studio: Version 11.0.0157.0 Plus
Dolby Digital Power Pack 1.0
System: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2
Pentium 4 with 2GB Ram
Display Adapter NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
The mpg file contains a DV time code.
If it is not a bug in Video Studio 11 then please . . . what is the problem?
Please don't tell me it is the camera, I like the DV time code attached to the mpg files. I just need to turn it on and off.
