Looking for an Old Version of Ulead Photo Express

I am looking for an old version of ulead Photo express.. I can't find it anywhere! It was the best image editing program I have ever seen... you can freely adjust lighting, color, free clone, add text, rotate, stitch and so much more... when you open the program (think it was version 2) it showed a cartoon pic of someone who looked like Tim Taylor hanging from a shark. I have been trying for months to replace it. if you have it, CONTACT ME. MONEY IS NO OBJECT. I NEED IT BACK! This is the best image editor I have ever used, ever. I HATE PAINTSHOPS. I used this program for over ten years, and have been trying forever to find an acceptable replacement for it. I say again, money is no object for the program I want and need, I find it hard to believe that no one on the planet has it on a disk somewhere. All my back-ups and programs were, ummm... lost... I need this back! Please contact mckenzie2467ATgmail.com asap - Also looking for a thumbnailer, a device that will allow you to watch a movie in your comp and snap a still image, a JPG, at a size of at least 2400 x 1600 give or take. http://www.michelletrachtenberg.org/gal ... hoto/12365

That cap was taken from a movie, and it is 4200 x 2900, ULTRA-HIGH QUALITY! I need to know what capped that pic, it was NOT the server page, that is only a host. I need the ability to cap like that. I am offering a reward to whomever can provide me with these two tools I need. Don't ask how much if you don't have them...

Please contact me asap. - Thank you!

I conditionally approved your post. However this web board is not to be used for selling, advertising for sale, bartering, or any form of business transactions between members.

Now Photo Express, was discontinued by Corel, quite some time ago. Prior to that, there were very few visitors that participated in discussions regarding it. It appears that it was not that popular a product. It's nice to see that you did have such high regard for it. The only suggestion I can make, and you've probably already tried, to hit the online auction or For Sale websites, such as Ebay.

One problem with buying old software from places other than directly from the manufacturer, is pirating. You say money is no object, until you pay a premium for a program riddled with viruses, is not the full version, has already been registered, or the seller just does not ship it.

Screen capture programs generally capture the resolution, frame size specified by the user or the monitor. I don't think it's possible to capture a frame size larger than that of the monitor it is being viewed on. In order to capture, make a copy of that size, the monitor would have be using at least the resolution described, and that is a rather large monitor. The screenshot resolution of a screen capture also is dependent on the resolution of the video it is being copied from. In your example, that had to be a hi-def video, and there are no, none, nada, resolutions that high. So I think you're being fooled, that a program is capable of taking a screenshot of a video frame that large.

Thank you for your reply... I had no intention of using this forum for buying or selling, I am simply looking for information. I hope I did not offend you with it. I was just so hoping that I could find someone with the programs saved on disk. Again, not trying to pirate, just so very unhappy that what I lost, apparently, can never be replaced, EVER. That is a song that I have sadly been forced to sing A LOT in the past few months.
As for the caps, the guy MUST HAVE used an editor and resized the images then, but I still wonder what programs can cap a movie playing inside the computer... I downloaded SnagIt (which didn't really impress me) and a few others. The only one that looked really good that I have found so far was FRAPS (frames per second). They have many good features and I may buy that program, unless I can find a better one. I am also currently bugged that I found a few caps in my own computer, made a few months ago, and they are nearly 2000 x 1000 and I can't remember what I used to make them! HAHAHA Life is funny...

(but not lately)

Thanks so much for your input.
