No Problems . It serves as a help to others who may have a similar problem at some time.
Also brings up another point - for many tools we have a reset to default which helps if we have accidentally changed a setting which makes the tool misbehave.
It would be good to have a reset to default for the New image dialog and also the Resize dialog.
The red herring I mentioned was the misleading figures mentioned in inches wheras if you had always looked at and mentioned the pixel values, the answer may have been obvious immediately .
Eg a 6 x 4 " image will have different values in pixels depending on its ppi value - at 100 ppi = 600 x 400 pixels, at 300 ppi = 1800 x 1200 pixels , at 1000 ppi will be 6000 x 4000 pixels . Add to that values sxpressed in ppcm and it can get quite confusing. Values expressed as 1200 x 800 pixels always remain as an absolute unless you resample at another ppi or ppcm value.
Likewise expressing an image in Kb or Mb is also confusing and has different interpretations. If the image is bmp , tif, jpg fine or jpg low quality , many different images with different pixel values could fit a particular size on disk.
