Bonjour,
The plugins do not work. He turns, turns, turns ... even after 30 minutes. Nothing is happening. To close the plugins, I have to press "close window" in the taskbar. :(

Thank you.

I have no problems - it seems to be a processor heavy operation. Took about 16 seconds with a 5000 long side jpg image and about 8 seconds with a 800 pixel image .
I did Preview first and then Send and Close. Low or High strength did not seem to make a difference.

same here and have a case going with Corel support who have sent it further up the chain. Latest from them is

"The issue that you contacted us about has already been directed to our engineering team to look into and hopefully get resolved in a timely fashion. The earliest a fix is possible is in a future service pack or new version. We cannot comment on what may (or may not) be in as yet unreleased software. This includes both features and fixes."

I am experiencing the same issue. With PSP2019 running and trying to launch Picture to Paint, both applications hang with the "Circle spinning" and the only way to stop them is control panel. Even left them in that condition overnight and they were in the same state the following morning. Just received this response today after the problem was escalated:

The issue that you contacted us about has already been directed to our engineering team to look into and hopefully get resolved in a timely fashion. The earliest a fix is possible is in a future service pack or new version. We cannot comment on what may (or may not) be in as yet unreleased software. This includes both features and fixes.

Seems to me that software with a new "feature" that's just released would have a more urgent priority than "The earliest a fix is possible is in a future service pack or new version".

Corel does say that Windows 10 is a system requirement for Pictopaint. Beats me as to why and I don't intend to switch to 10 just for this. Someday I guess I'll have to...

For Pic-to-Painting: Windows 10 (64-bit) required

I have the latest build of Windows 10, and it still don't work.

For what it's worth I believe it is hardware accelerated as the command line has my Nvidia driver version in it.

I've done an uninstall and reinstalled PaintShop Pro 2019 Ultimate and the same issue exist. Once I try to review or send it just stalls and I have to right click the image to close it out.

@Lhamel

It's that combination that doesn't work

operating_system: Windows 10
processor: AMD Athleon II X3 425

An AMD Athleon II X3 425 is how many years old? 8 or 10? It seems that they are missing something that might run Windows 10 on your system, but the plugin can't work with that.

Sorry.

Also note that PSP 2019 has changed system requirements.

One of my members put out a support request to Corel about the malfunctioning of Pic-to-painter.

This is what Corel suggested:

Pic-to-painting currently works only with both the 32-bits and the 64-bits version of PaintShop Pro 2019 installed.
If you have the 64-bits only installed, you can install the 32-bits version from
C > Program Files (x86) > Corel > Corel PaintShop Pro 2019 > Setup Files > PHOTOPRO > Setup.exe.

On my computer the Setup.exe file is located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro 2019\Setup > {90B0B84D-5C50-4EED-89E3-59791663B7E5}> Setup.exe

If this doesn't work or solve the problem, you have to uninstall 2019 completely and reinstall it with both 32-bits and 64-bits.

I would suggest to remove the app Pic-to-painter as well if you uninstall 2019. You can then download it again from the startpage in 2019.

Hope this is of help to anyone.

One needs both 32 and 64 bit versions of PSP to get Pic-to-Painting to work?

I don't think so. I'm not installing the 32 bit version just for this, but will uninstall Pic-to-Painting. Corel should just fix Pic-to-Painting.

I'll keep using FilterForge which does the same thing only better and faster (infinitely faster, as P2P doesn't work).

I don't understand why Corel tries to include all these 'features' when many of them simply create further issues. IMHO Corel would be far better off if they developed better gateways for plugins and external editors.
I also use FilterForge. But in addition often use Topaz plugins and Krita. These programs/plugins do a great job. So why clog up PSP when the wheel has already been invented?
My preferred editor is Photoline and it has a great facilities for plugins and external programs. Maybe if PSP had the same features then I would use PSP far more than I currently do.

Another one of my members had Pic-to-Painting working in 64-bit version running Windows 8.1. Won't work in the 32-bit.
Just a gamble then, whether or not the plugin works or not? Depending on other files on your system, probably. That has been the case before.
