Lost picture frames

Postby Ken Veal » Sat Feb 23, 2019 12:37 am

I have copied and pasted 2 .png picture frames into
C:\Users\ken\Documents\Corel PaintShop Pro\2019\Picture Frames
Both thumbnails show with their titles below them after being pasted. But when in the programme and I look through all the picture frames they are not to be found. So where are they ?

Load your png files into PSP 2019.
then do File > Export > Picture Frame and name the frame. Next time you use Image > Picture Frames you should find your frames there.
I have a number of picture frames in that Documents etc Picture Frames and they are all PSPFrame or pfr files .
None are png files. You start with a png file that has transparency where you want the image to show, but you must convert (Export) it as a picture frame to be able to use it.
Systems available Win7, Win 8.1,Win 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.2007 & version 1809 Build 17763.615

Thank you hartpaul, that worked for me with a small tweek
file open > load image >
file > export > picture frame
the file name shows in the export picture frame box
click save.
image> picture frames
new picture frame shows in gallery
Below is from a Corel tutorial which I followed and did not work
How to Use Photo Frames
Using your new photo frames is very simple. Your download included two types of files – PaintShop Pro
frames (.pspframe) and transparent PNGs. Below are instructions for both file types.
Using .pspframes in PaintShop Pro
After downloading your .pspframe files, it’s helpful to get into the habit of storing them in the proper
location. This way, they will display in the gallery in the Picture Frame dialog box. Browse to the
following location to paste the frame files you have downloaded:
C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Corel PaintShop Pro\18.0\Picture Frames
