I have the same problem today in PSP X9

Answering YES or NO on the pop-up just brings it up again.
No other buttons or tabs in PSP respond at all. The program can only be closed using Task Manager but when run again comes up to the same error loop. Same happens if the computer is rebooted.
Obviously a PSP programming bug.
I tried shifting all files out of the folder that PSP was working in hoping the error loop would end but it did not help.

I am thinking that I will have to uninstall PSP and reinstall it. Hesitant to do that while I am overseas traveling but it is no use to me as it is.

In PSP X9 it came back to the same error loop every time I ran the program so I could not use PSP at all.
I uninstalled and reinstalled.
Now I can use PSP but I am staying away from the mapping mode.

I think I have found a solution...

After trying multiple things to no avail, I tried this:

1. Right click on paintshop shortcut

2. Click "View File Location"
This should take you to the Corel Painshop folder
(C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel Painshop Pro X9 (64-bit))

3. Scroll down and find the "ResetDB" application

4. Click Run

This worked for me, hopefully it works for you. Best of luck

Worked here . Allowed me to get out of the loop that stops you from using PSP. It does not however allow the Mapping to be used, that I think is a loss as it requires Corel to keep up and make corrections with any changes that Google makes. Corel is unlikely to do that for all versions since the start of Mapping in PSP. I never use this or the sharing to other sites from withing PSP as each of these require that the third party maintain a stable and continuous protocol for passing PSP info over.
As soon as that protocol is changed the "feature" in PSP is broken.

Brilliant! This worked, thanks mate. I wonder why they don't bother adding this to their knowledge base?

I can get it to work with running as an admin but then it eventually starts up.
Is there a way to disable the map function permanently? I will never use it. So far the program is not worth keeping. I just bought it too...!

Try resetting your internet settings.
1. Press WINDOWS KEY + R
....r and/or the software.

I couldn't see how that would make any difference, and since the 32bit version works OK, I declined to change my security settings and they closed the ticket. It's a feature I never use, so I'll just have to remember to never click the "globe" icon.

I did it and the same error comes up. There should be a way to remap X5 to launch Chrome by default instead of IE which is out of date.

It's 2018 files, so this does not solve this problem for 2018

If no, it's easy to roll back. If you still have script errors, initialize PSP with Shift key, and retry.

THANKS! Using Win 8.1 and I closed X5 and doubled clicked the first file with the Registry settings to enable compatibility mode for IE for Corel X5 and NO REBOOT and started X5 it worked instantly! Thanks!
