There are many tutorials on Youtube which may help you - just do a search on Youtube for 'VideoStudio' or 'Video tutorials'

although whether you will find any for such basic functions is another matter - what exactly is it you need to know.

If you want more information it would help to know which programme you are using.

Hello

Thanks for your reply.

I would like a Crossfade tutorial for VideoStudio Pro X5 software.

There are no beginners video tutorials on YouTube for subjects i have listed. It's a shame really.

Thanks again.

To crossfade between two video clips - put your videos in the timeline so that the end of the first is touching the beginning of the second - drag the 'Crossfade' effect down from the transitions library and drop it over the join between the two video clips - set the time of the transition to achieve the affect you require.

Fade out can be achieved by dragging the 'fade to black' transitions from the transition library and dropping it on the end of your final video - set it's length to fade as fast or slow as you want.

You 'Blend' between videos by dragging different transitions down from the transition library on to the join between two videos - such effects as 'dissolve' - 'mosaic' - 'mesh' etc. can be used.

put two sample videos in the timeline and experiment with the transitions from the transition library - you will soon get the hang of it.

I am sorry but I do not know what else you could need to know - there are possibly no tutorials because it is so basic that there is no need for a tutorial.

I'll try again if you can be more specific about what you need to know

And another simple way of doing a crossfade is to have two clips in the timeline, end to end. Then left click the clip on the right, and hold down the mouse button. Then drag it leftwards over the end of the clip on the left. This creates a crossfade automatically, and its duration will depend on how far you drag the righthand clip over the end of the lefthand one.

Note that this method only works for crossfade. For other transitions, you need to do as Brian instructed
