VS11+ Failed to open mpeg encoder

Postby Phillip » Tue Jun 28, 2011 5:39 am

It's been so long since I posted a question, I can't seem to find the correct page to post the following question.

I would appreciate help with the following error message:
"Failed to open MPEG encoder".

I'm using Ulead VideoStudio 11+ and when I try to render a completed video to a file I receive this error message. The video is a little large, one hour fourteen minutes, so I cut it in half, saving it under a different name and it still gave me the same error message. However, if I render a very small clip then it renders as it's suppose to.

I've never had this trouble before. I reloaded the software for 11+ but that didn't help.

Can anyone help?

Hi Philip -- I split and moved your topic from the tutorials section as it is more appropriate in the Video Studio forum. Hopefully somebody will be able to offer you a suggestion.

You might start off, though, by telling us something about the original video: what format was it; where did it come from; what editing did you do to it?
