This may be a stupid question but I'm finally getting around to upgrading from VS9 to 10+. I have been using Ulead since VS8 - and I use it for business, so I always hesitate to make changes when things are working smoothly. I've played around with VS10+ on my laptop and sucessfully upgraded - but I have yet to do it on my main editing PC. My main editing PC runs on Windows Media Center and my laptop uses XP home so it's not necessarily apples and apples.
I was wondering what happens to VS9 after you install VS10+? Does anything in the install of 10+ alter the registry or operability of VS9 - or can I still go back to 9 and complete projects that I've started. Or if 10+ starts crashing or doing funky things - can I always go back to 9?
I'm sorry if this sounds silly - but sometimes when things are working perfectly it's hard to make changes....Some of the new features in 10+ are really nice and I want to take advantage of them....so I'm planning to do the upgrade.
Any advice would be helpful.
thanks.
