Can't sign into Ulead.com

Postby wjreitz on Sun Sep 03, 2006 8:36 am

I am a new member and recently created my Ulead user name and password. I received the email with the link to activate membership. After that each time I tried to login the sign in fields loop to blank without any further information. I have checked my password by clicking on the "Forgot your password" link on the sign in page and received an email confirming that my password was recorded correctly. I have tried contacting Customer Service regarding this issue but did receive confirmation that my message was sent or received nor a reply to my query. What other things can I try to sign in or how else can I reach somebody that can help me with this?

I just tried and was able to log-in. It sounds like you need to set your web browser to accept cookies from Ulead's web page.

For IE go to Control Panel, Internet Options. Then click on the Privacy Tab, and then Advanced. In the Advanced Privacy Settings, make sure you have the box at the bottom (Always allow Session Cookies) checked.

For Firefox, go to Tools>Options, then click on Privacy>Cookies. Make sure the box is checked: Allow sites to set cookies.

Hang on - - - if you can't log in - how did you post the message with your user name ?????

Are you trying to log into some other part of the Ulead site using your forums password ?? - doesn't work - you should have a seperate account for the Ulead/Element 5 webpages .

Brian,

I think wjrietz is referring to logging in to Ulead's website, not this forum. I know their site occasionally does some strange things.

I just found the Ulead website server has some difficulties to work on some functions. Maybe come back in a day or 2 to see if the server is working properly.

Thanks, Ron. Yes, you're right that I was referring logging in to the Ulead's website. I used this forum with the same log in name in order to get some pointers in the right direction and am glad that I was able to log in after adjusting my cookies settings as suggested. Other sites give a warning if the cookies setting is too secure but in this case I just lopped back to an empty log in page so I couldn't see where the problem was. Thanks again!

Dear all

I have similar troubles also with the sign in to the Corel.com. I have there a valid account since 2005. Yesterday I purchased a new X4 and I was not able to register it. After some trial the system registered my product to the Australian site (I can open it and see all my products since 2005). To the registration I did not get any PIN number what I need for further support.

I also tried to contact Corel*s customer care - the system simple rejects all my question (in German or English) or guides me to somewhere on the corel sites (last time it was a Corel Paint....:-) ) to reject me from there.

It is a shame from the worldleading software house such WEB support. Much smaller companies have well working customer accounts and easy and safe access. It is in serious contrast with the quality of the Corel products

Yup, I think someone on Corel's current web-team (and that's what they call it), needs to be given a long vacation, you know one of those permanent vacations, that motivate you to look for employment elsewhere..:)

There's numerous issues with Corel's website. I've tried finding answers in the NO-knowledge Base. Clicking on a link that it tells you to click on, would just open the same page in another browser tab.
